I have a confession. I have only shot a gun maybe twice in my whole life. I have a fear of them. I don't fear much but I saw someone close to me get shot right in front of me when I was 11 and he almost died. We were stupid kids, not being watched, and my friend thought it wasn't loaded and shot my other friend. I watched him bleed out in front of me before the paramedics arrived while panicking having no idea what to do except grab towels for the bleeding. I'm scared for the future honestly because I know I need to get over this silly fear so I can protect myself in the future. I don't have a husband so I must. Just seeing one, not even loaded in front of me spikes my anxiety. When my son points a nerf gun at me, I have a mini panic attack. I know it's stupid at my age but the unrealistic fear has never left me. Is there a cure? One that doesn't require talking to another human in the form of "therapy?" Maybe frequency healing? Idk 🤷‍♀️
