Last weekend I picked up this cute little Snoopy lunchbox at a sale. I brought it home, started washing it, and when I opened it… there was a name taped inside: Chris Neff. And I’m thinking… why does that name sound SO familiar?? I keep washing the lunchbox, and suddenly it hits me the NEW guy at my job has that exact name. 😳 But I’m like, there is absolutely NO WAY this is his childhood lunchbox. Fast forward to the next day at work he brings me his new hire paperwork. (Important detail: we’ve NEVER spoken before.) He says, “Are you Courtney?” I say, “Yes… are you Chris? Because I have a series of very weird questions for you.” 😂 He looks confused but goes along with it. “Have you lived here your whole life?” - Yes. “How old are you?” - 43. “Do you remember ever having a Snoopy lunchbox as a kid?” He pauses and says, “Well… my dad loved Peanuts stuff. I think I did.” So I pull out my phone and show him the pictures. He stares at it and says… “THAT’S MY MOM’S HANDWRITING.”🥹 You guys… IT WAS HIS LUNCHBOX. The one from his childhood. The one I randomly bought. The one that somehow found its way back to him decades later. What are the odds of that happening?! 😭💫 I’m happy to report the lunchbox has officially been reunited with its original owner… and I am officially heading out to buy a lottery ticket. 🍀😂 Wish me luck!
