You need to be more specific. It's the elite sides that are becoming better at scoring in the first phase. And I think - yes, optimising is a part of the game - but optimisation can also break games which is why the history of football is littered with rule changes to stop this.

@EBL2017 …Most other teams get penalised when they do this. But somehow, Arsenal players do it just long enough so they don’t get pulled up on it. Basically, Gabriel is left alone to have a free head at goal, and they have someone with good delivery that finds him. That’s how they work.

Part of the reason Arsenal score so many goals from set-plays is because they are so good in open play. The volume of corners, free kicks, and throw-ins they accumulate comes from an unparalleled ability to sustain pressure. That comes from domination with AND without the ball.

@kevinverlin Salary Sport is one of the worst and least trustworthy sources out there with wages. Mainly just speculation. I have looked at about 5-6 different sites that all say £20k and salary sport is the only one that doesn’t say it. Capalogy is the most accurate as far as I’m aware
