WHITMAN, MA (January 14, 2025) - Whitman-Hanson Regional High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Ruben Teixeira as the new Head Boys Soccer Coach. Teixeira brings two decades of coaching experience to the program, including extensive knowledge of South Shore soccer development. Currently serving as a senior director for Mass City Soccer Club in the South Shore region, Teixeira has demonstrated his ability to develop young talent and build successful programs. His previous high school coaching experience includes successful tenures at both Stoughton High School and Plymouth South High School. "I'm beyond excited to be the Head Boys Soccer Coach for Whitman-Hanson Regional High School," said Teixeira. "It feels good to be back competing in the Patriot League. It's a great community to be involved with, and I look forward to growing the soccer program." Teixeira's appointment represents a significant step forward for the Whitman-Hanson boys soccer program. His extensive background in youth development and proven track record in high school athletics aligns perfectly with the school's commitment to athletic excellence. "Coach Teixeira's love and passion for the game of soccer is palpable and I believe his players will feel that everyday," Whitman-Hanson Athletic Director Bob Rodgers said.  "His vast knowledge of the game and his desire to build a program, not just coach a team, has us excited for the future of our boys soccer program. The new head coach will be introduced to the team after school on Thursday.
