The Giggle vs. Tickle ruling is disappointing, but not surprising. I've posted about this before, but it is still relevant. In 2017, "Nova" Maday, a boy calling himself a girl sued his school district for not allowing him to change in the girls' locker room. Despite being offered his own changing area and then subsequently allowed into the girls' locker room but asked to change behind a curtain, he deemed that made him "feel terrible." In 2020, the school district settled, agreeing to pay this boy $150,000 because they had told him he couldn't violate girls' privacy, girls who had been begging them not to let him in. After the decision, girls, who would have to change into swimsuits with this boy next to them, could be seen crying while Maday high fived his legal team. Women truly are treated as subhuman. We aren't humans at all in many places, just an "identity," but on a positive note, at least in the United States and the UK, I think we've already hit rock bottom and are now slowly but surely crawling our way back up.
