The biggest career mistake I made in the last year or two was listening to the people insisting on how futile it was to focus on petty interpersonal stuff, now realizing it’s what 95% of the behind-the-scenes stuff runs on. Hasan literally encouraging his audience to spam report my sub now based on information passed on to him via Jstlk and his audience members lmao. Zero other large liberal creators will touch this because they are afraid of Hasan and his audience. It’s absolutely insane how petrified and weak the liberal content creator space is when it comes to dealing with these DSA types. There’s a reason they’ve been able to infect and grow so much behind the scenes.

In 2018, in the year after Jaime was murdered, I used to argue with every well paid and well-known troll on the MAGAT right. I used to argue daily with NRA TV and its hosts. They would always say literally the same incorrect lie, such as I am a gun grabber or I hate the 2A. We used to go back and forth on well-known lies and never actually get to the point. Eventually, I decided that well paid and well-known trolls were not worth it. While this was on the right then, the behavior exists on the left now with guys like @WajahatAli and @mehdirhasan. My decision to block then worked. I started blocking and ignoring them. I continued using this platform to say what I wanted to say and stopped highlighting them. I wrote my book American Carnage to take on every lie that they told instead. I took satisfaction in blocking the army of right wing trolls then who exist on this platform to cause misinformation and hate. Sadly, the left wing trolls learned from them how to do that, and with well paid and well-known guys like Mehdi and Wajahat leading them, they are following the same hateful and destructive playbook. Effective today, I will treat them like the MAGAT's from the right. As they spend their day looking at my feed, I will wait a few hours and block them. Then, I will block the others. My message will still get out; however, my platform will no longer be used to amplify the hate and destructive beliefs that they are using to harm America.
