@RubyBeech @Nigel_Farage You have to lay the foundations to build the house.
English

@PeterMakintps @JohnRentoul @annemcelvoy They inherited the highest taxation and borrowing since WW2 alongside run down public services which they are fixing - but there is a cost. Can’t do everything at once. Not perfect but a great improvement on the last lot! Not all businesses and individuals feel the same.

English

@RubyBeech @JohnRentoul @annemcelvoy Highest youth unemployment ever
Highest tax burden ever
Lowest confidence (both business and individual) ever
yes the tories were pretty bad but Labour has really accelerated the demise

Inside Operation Save Starmer, this is why they now believe they really can ‘Keep Keir In’ @annemcelvoy independent.co.uk/voices/keir-st…

@news4reformuk @Nigel_Farage On the other hand do you want an MP who knows what he is doing? Worked for your area for 9 years as Mayor AND knows his way around Westminster & would be part of the governing party. Or a nice local man who would join the small band of Reform MPs shouting from the sidelines? 🤔
English

@Nigel_Farage If ever there was a reason to get up and vote this is it. Don’t let Burnham use you , you good people of Makerfield . I have never seem such ladder climbing insincerity. Please don’t fall for this bullshitting chancer
English

@AshtonWard01 @Nigel_Farage Burnham wouldn’t need to call an election. Truss didn’t. Sunak didn’t. We elect governments not Prime Ministers. He isn’t guaranteed the leadership even if he wins the by election.
English

@Nigel_Farage If Burnham wins and becomes PM he will have to call an election. Isn’t that what you want? Do you really want to win this seat? 🤔
English

@algarve32c @Nigel_Farage And the one before to Ed Miliband! Who has learned a lot since then.
English

@Nigel_Farage Is this the Andy Burham who lost his last Labour Leadership contest to no other than Jeremy Corbyn ?. As Trump would say we don’t need losers, we need Fixers.
English

@AngieCH2309 @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM @Keir_Starmer @LucyMPowell @KemiBadenoch @CCHQPress @bbclaurak @TrevorPTweets @PippaCrerar What is Burnham saying that is different to the manifesto? Didn’t get a GE when we got Truss or Sunak and they didn’t stick with the manifesto.

English

@RubyBeech @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM @Keir_Starmer @LucyMPowell @KemiBadenoch @CCHQPress @bbclaurak @TrevorPTweets @PippaCrerar Change to a manifesto for a party not even half way through their term is wrong.
Call a GE I say.
Susan Hall AM@Councillorsuzie
Good Lord, this man is insufferable. He assumes he will win and take over the Labour Party. They have 100’s of MP’s is there seriously not one among them good enough to take over? Hopeless Labour!
English

Changing @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM ?
You have no mandate!
Remove @Keir_Starmer
Call a GE!
Shameful spending millions on 2 unnecessary elections, whilst breaking your commitment to Manchester!

@Nigel_Farage It’ll be sickening if Burnham gets in because of Lowes vendetta against Farage, this would just piss everybody off.
Do the right thing and kick Labour out vote REFORM.
English

@StreuthItsRuth @RobKenyonReform Or do they want one who will know what he is doing? A man who has worked for them for 9 years as Mayor AND knows his way around Westminster so can hit the ground running. And will be part of the governing party vs a nice man who is part of a small band shouting from sidelines. 🤔
English

The man whose life has changed most this week? @RobKenyonReform
He was a happy family man, tradesman and Councillor. Well liked and successful.
Suddenly he’s thrust into the spotlight of probably becoming Rob Kenyon MP.
All seems to have happened so quickly.
Makerfield will know what it’s like to have a truly caring MP.
The whole of the Reform country is behind you Rob.
English

@BigBenBaxter @LevellingDown @RobKenyonReform It won’t work for anyone! Reform are for the grifters not the grafters.

English

@LevellingDown @RobKenyonReform So I shouldnt benefit from this because some one else doesnt? In that case scrap UC and all other benefits if we really want things fair
English

@LevellingDown @RobKenyonReform Reform are never for the workers, only the billionaires. Why do you think billionaires give them millions of dollars£

English

@RobKenyonReform Kick in the teeth for self-employed strivers.
Reform are not on the side of British workers. 82% of Reform's funding comes from overseas multi-millionaires and billionaires.
English

@AngieCH2309 @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM @Keir_Starmer @LucyMPowell @KemiBadenoch @CCHQPress @bbclaurak @TrevorPTweets @PippaCrerar I’m ok with people changing their course when circumstances or legislation changes actually. I don’t want a leader who can’t adjust.
English

@RubyBeech @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM @Keir_Starmer @LucyMPowell @KemiBadenoch @CCHQPress @bbclaurak @TrevorPTweets @PippaCrerar He’s changed his mind on usage of toilets and trans and EU membership already.
Another flip flopping politician. Lying to get votes. We will see yes,
English

@RobertJenrick Say work 40 hours/week, 8 hours/5days Tax@ 20% so if save £1000 on overtime through tax break are earning additional £5k over a year.
1.5 hours a day =7.5 /week. /52 weeks @ minimum wage Working a 47.5 hr week every week. No overtime rate. Your generosity knows no bounds! And …

English

If you work at the Heinz factory near Wigan, do an hour and a half overtime every day, you’ll be *£1,000* a year better off.
Reform will make work pay again.
Cllr Rob Kenyon@RobKenyonReform
Reform will reward hard graft with fair pay. This policy to remove tax from overtime would have been a godsend for me a few years ago. It will help loads of people in Makerfield and Wigan.
English

This is such an important point and honestly one the media almost never talks about properly.
People obsess over personality politics and Westminster gossip, but they ignore the fact that Starmer has quietly built one of the strongest Labour front benches in years. Serious people. Competent ministers. Loyal to the government and focused on delivery rather than constant briefing and ego wars.
That matters.
Because governments succeed when they have depth, discipline and talent across the whole team, not just one headline grabbing figure at the top.
And Viviane is right, several of those names could genuinely be future Labour leaders one day. That says a lot about where the party is now compared to the chaos and factionalism of the past decade.
There’s finally a sense that Labour is governing again, not performing politics for social media clips. #Labour #KeirStarmer #Politics #UKPolitics
English

@MattHarperUK @RobertJenrick @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS And if that’s the case they willlreap the benefits. But some don’t & Farage wants min wage lower which will increase numbers of working people also on benefits. Benefits shouldn’t subsidise employers.
English

@RubyBeech @RobertJenrick @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS The good employers ignore all min wage rules etc, they just pay the going rate for a job which is usually well above the min wage.
English

@QuackersTich @SandyofSuffolk So figures you don’t like are manufactured! Where is your evidence for that. Get a grip. Don’t let the media gaslight you.
English

@RubyBeech @SandyofSuffolk Rubbish. Manufactured figures. Things are getting worse.
English

@MattHarperUK @RobertJenrick @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS There were a lot on min wage also on benefits. Employers need to pay decent wages not be subsidised by benefits system. So right to put up.
English

@RubyBeech @RobertJenrick @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS Raising the min wage has cost the young as it has stopped an awful lot being able to get a job at all. What's better, £11 an hour of sod all and be on benefits? A lot of "good" employers pay the min wage, or pennies over it, Councils for one.
English

@AngieCH2309 @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM @Keir_Starmer @LucyMPowell @KemiBadenoch @CCHQPress @bbclaurak @TrevorPTweets @PippaCrerar Maybe but even if he does I’ve heard him say nothing not already in manifesto - house building (planning changes begun), nationalisation (railways begun), working closely with EU but not rejoining. We will see.
English

@RubyBeech @UKLabour @AndyBurnhamGM @Keir_Starmer @LucyMPowell @KemiBadenoch @CCHQPress @bbclaurak @TrevorPTweets @PippaCrerar I understand all of that. But if he wins he’s going for the leadership. That ego of his will make him.
English

@MattHarperUK @RobertJenrick @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS They want to hit those on minimum wage by reducing it. Trickle down economics is a myth. Those at the bottom are at the mercy of people like Reform. Good employers pay decent wages and get good workers who work hard and want to get on, but Farage wants to encourage slave labour.

English

@RubyBeech @RobertJenrick @Nigel_Farage @GBNEWS As has been evidenced several times, hit the billionaires, you hit the workers AND the broader economy, long term, you hit the poor & disabled. Wealth is good, envy of wealth is just bitter nastiness. This overtime idea is for all <75K, not just the min wage.
English

@Gary7gmg @RobertJenrick Reform are never for the workers. Don’t forget what else they want to do!

English

@RobertJenrick And what about the cost of childcare and travel for those extra hours you will have to work to benefit? By time factor that it you wouldn’t be much better off mate
