Weekly Recap: TSLA Options After enough complaining and whining about seeing 8 weeks of red in a row on TSLA, she finally woke up and made up for the last 6 weeks of downtrend losses all in this one week. This stock is like none other. I always say she likes to run 100 points at a time over two weeks. So we got 60 this week back, and next week could make it a perfect 100-point run from the 330s if earnings play out favorably. This week I finally got to adding back some short calls. It was 6 weeks of missed opportunities, and now I am loaded up for the earnings play. Monday was the first real move, and I sat on my hands. Tuesday brought a 10-point move. I nibbled on selling a few 390 calls. Wednesday was a no-service day for me as we were camping in the middle of nowhere. I had limit orders in which sold 8 short calls, and I forgot to cancel another which sold 15 more 400s. All is well. Also, another 10 limit order triggered, and when I saw this I must have had a full fill as the profits showed 50 percent when I finally got service in our hole on top of a peak, so I took the profits. Thursday continued the upside. I missed orders filling at the open, and it sold straight off from 394. Decided to go short 8 calls by close out to May, just inside the expected move. Friday morning run-up to 396-399, I went short 8 more calls out to May. This filled up all the contracts I want covered going into earnings. I will now wait to see what plays out and happily manage these as needed. 45 short calls sold for the week. This is a good number. I ideally want 20 on at all times and up to 60. Plan is also to let 1,500 TSLA shares go by June or I will trim some QQQ. This week changed plans again, so who knows what happens between now and June. Enjoy the weekend, Tesla family. We have earned this one. I am now sweating a 400 close so I can pick up some ribeyes. Below, short calls protect these 420 puts as well. Ideally I’ll get the 15 shares taken away from 390-400, then I’ll start managing up the calls with the stock. Will see how all this plays out over time. Stick around and see how I manage all this.

Normally, any rational country would know that using such a weapon would also bring about its own destruction. President Trump is sending more military power to the Middle East as Iran rejects our initial peace offers—setting the escalation trap. We can avoid that trap if we are wise enough not to believe our own hype. Bombing Iranian equipment and killing leaders may produce great hype reels, but if the GWOT taught us anything, it is that tactical success does not equal strategic victory. To avoid a major disaster, we must first define what is truly vital to our national interests and act accordingly—regardless of optics of the daily news cycle. We need the Strait of Hormuz open so oil can flow and stability can return to the energy markets and the Gulf region. These are realistic, achievable goals. They can be reached by significantly reducing our military footprint in the region and lifting sanctions on Iran. We can then tout Iran’s agreement not to build a nuclear weapon as a clear win for the media. The key to avoiding the escalation trap and a disastrous quagmire is restraining Israel by drastically limiting the military aid we provide. Israel cannot sustain this fight without us, and will do everything they can to keep us engaged. We must pursue our own objectives, not theirs. If we try to impose a maximalist outcome on Iran (zero enrichment, etc.) this war will undoubtedly escalate—costing American lives, billions more dollars, and ultimately eroding our global standing. We must learn from our past and recognize when it is time to cut our losses and walk away. In the end, working to restore order will strengthen America far more than any military action ever could.
