Random thought, and I know these infuriate most people and risks coming off as “out of touch” or unrealistic… …but I continue to be perplexed how anyone can still be working a traditional white collar job after a certain point.. for example after having kids.. after turning 30, 35, 40.. after experiencing personal loss or health issues.. there are really so many low bars to trigger reprioritizing of your life. I can’t fathom waking up and doing the same job everyday, let alone physically transporting myself to the same place. Frankly I can’t fathom working every single day either anymore. I have to work in sprints and bursts.
