@evomagazine In what way does it make no sense? People want to drive something that looks sporty, while retaining the practicallity of a sedan and height of an SUV. Perfect soccor mom car

Coupe SUVs make no sense, not that this has stopped Porsche from launching its Cayenne Coupe with an electric powertrain. We drive it.

Maybe post some of these non-fat, non-bell shaped 2-3 year lifters?
Deep Squats, Shallow Thoughts@wolfstrength

I have entirely lost track of the multitudes of such cases I've seen online. Similarly “lol if I wanted to be a fat powerlifter and just focus on the Big 3 maybe I’d do starting strength but I actually want to look good” The Bro Science idea of look at what something produces in the real world is important and has a lot of merit but it's applied absurdly superfically by ~99% of its adherents. Put aside the "Big 3" and "5x5" stuff that shows the person never read the book or did the actual program. What about the fat part? Well, it's broadly true that the average person doing SS and PPST programming isn't as lean as the average aesthetics focused bro. That's not because their training is ineffective or doesn't build muscle. It's because on average, the population who does that kind of programming doesn't care very much about their bodyfat %, beyond not being truly obese (and sometimes even don't care about that, which isn't good but is a separate discussion). The training isn't deficient at building muscle, it doesn't make you look bad. These are absurdly superficial ways to intrepret "what we actually see." What happens to the average Novice who trains for strength for 2-3 years and then cuts to 12% bodyfat compared to the average Novice doing bro-splits who never goes over 12% in the first place? Not the guys blasting gear, but the average guys you see at the gym. The difference in success from the SS training here is massive. This isn't rocket surgery. It's basic second order thinking. But it's too sophisticated for the current conversation in the bro-sphere.

Look at the chart—China’s crude import collapse this year is nothing short of dramatic. It's actually worse than the period when China was suffering under Zero-COVID and Shanghai was locked down. This is also a clear testament to their brilliant strategic foresight in aggressively stockpiling their SPR last year. The Chinese are incredibly sharp. #oott #iran

@RuinsMan I thought it was a primary peaty point that america had an overlap where people were super thin and sedentary in like, the 50s to the 90s Plus, I thought there was data based on rural vs urban obesity stats that implied less movement (or stress) & more nutrition = thinner
