@Rumis_Human

I used to believe that politicians were meant to serve their peeps. If I look at the state of #yyc & #ableg, I'd say we're in double trouble.

@ffsyyc @calgaryhomeless Just ask Minister Dixon and his family how much $$ is involved. It's a sizable business. Also, ask her ex-chief-of-staff how much money will be made from "recovery centers" under their new (yet very archaic) model.

Homelessness is a billion dollar industry - what is the annual salary of Patricia Jones, executive director of the Calgary Homeless Foundation? #yyccc @calgaryhomeless

The UCP were duped into signing contracts of over $70 million for Turkish Tylenol, in a deal that did not protect Albertan taxpayers. Instead, this whole scandal cost taxpayers $15k/bottle. Imagine how the province could have better used that money. edmontonjournal.com/news/politics/…

@RickBellwrites @calgaryherald A fake award for Mayor of the year, and she thinks that we'll fall for it...Nenshi did something like that too. @daveberta polls actual AB'ns, and his audience overwhelming chose the best to be Richard Ireland (mayor of Jasper). He kinda went through a little bit. #yyccc

@sassystuff Let me fix that for her...“Calgarians lack experience with a female leader who is full of vendetta's and grudges. Especially when that leader is always right, and yes, the taxpayers are wrong if they disagree w me.” Imagine if Harris had come out + said that. 🤦🏻‍♀️ #yyccc

Gondek’s take on why her popularity is so low. Maybe, Just maybe, it has nothing to do with woke excuses that don’t work on people anymore and perhaps it’s about terrible arrogance and insults like below. How out of touch can one be? “Calgarians lack experience with female leadership and non-white leaders, especially when those leaders not only deviate from the prescribed norms but consistently challenge the status quo.”

So in other words, directly from @JyotiGondek, citizens don't matter and how our communities develop is purely up to Council - gottcha. Her dismissiveness is beyond rude. And have never seen her speak in such a way to those outside the 8.

The Glenmore Landing Redevelopment plan is facing huge opposition from residents and my question was simply to point out that even if EVERYONE was against it, #yyccc could still ignore them and approve it.

@DanWMcLean I can tell you why. Stephen Carter, when acting as Gondeks CM, said to me, verbatim "we need his votes."

CTV News: “Justin Trudeau’s visit to Mar-a-Lago has done nothing to silence his critics.” LOL. Who expected his critics to go silent? Poilievre blames Trudeau if there are clouds blocking the view of a meteor shower at night. The Canadian media have morphed into Jerry Springer.

Alberta now has 10 active legal challenges against Canada. On plastics, guns, oil, carbon tax. So how much is all of this costing taxpayers? The UCP government will not say. #ableg #cdnpoli

@bt83291 @nenshi If he has any chance of becoming premier, he needs to tell the truth about off-site levies. He spread a lot of disinformation about who actually pays what...ie, what exactly the city didn't want to pay.

A strong Alberta economy requires a stable regulatory environment to encourage investment. The Harper-era regulations didn’t work, and neither did the Trudeau Bill C-69. But the Smith government has no solutions to offer. Businesses need process certainty, and citizens need good environmental impact legislation. We all need a provincial government that’s willing to play ball and make deals that work for all Albertans. Just constantly hiring lawyers and going to court, with unknown fees, won’t get what we need. It’s time for a serious government taking Alberta’s concerns seriously.

Best quote from article “Isn’t it odd that those who blather on endlessly about inclusion like nothing better than dividing us into groups? The Calgary Plan even gives us our own colour scheme. Maybe we can all wear correctly coloured pins, so we engage only with our own kind”
