A historic day for Karbi Anglong! As a special gift during the 52nd Karbi Youth Festival, Hon’ble CM Dr @himantabiswa Ji distributed financial aid to our Kurusars, honoring their role as the guardians of our faith. Our traditions—our devotion to Hemphu, Mukrang, and Rasinja—are what define us. By embracing “Karbi Aronbarim,” we ensure that our indigenous soul remains vibrant for generations to come. Thank you, Govt of Assam, for standing with us. Tributes to one of the greatest warriors of our history, Ahom General Lachit Barphukan Ji, on his Jayanti. His unflinching patriotism, invincible valor, and unparalleled military leadership not only shielded Assam and the rest of our Northeast from the onslaught of the Mughals but also secured the region's precious cultural heritage. His life will remain a lighthouse of inspiration for patriots forever.

Thai Apsir Waterfalls, under Socheng Constituency, is one of the hidden natural gems in West Karbi Anglong. The serene surroundings and the cascading waters make it a perfect place for nature lovers and explorers. The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council will soon take up a scheme to develop Thai Apsir into a tourist destination, with the aim to promote eco-tourism, create local employment, and preserve the natural beauty of the area. Our vision is to make Karbi Anglong a leading destination for nature-based tourism while ensuring that development remains sustainable and community-driven. @himantabiswa @HSRONGPHAR @CMOfficeAssam @mygovassam @mygovindia #KarbiAnglong

A discussion was held today on the Geographical Indication (GI) registration of Karbi traditional textiles, aimed at preserving and promoting the distinctive weaving tradition of the Karbi people. This initiative represents an important step toward securing legal recognition and protection for the cultural and artistic heritage of Karbi textiles. @himantabiswa @CMOfficeAssam @mygovassam #Kaac #KarbiAnglong

This Bangladeshi person and his family got documents and disappeared into thin air and he and his family easily could have obtained passport, pan,Aadhar ,voter Id by showing land papers anywhere in the country . Another question how can any non scheduled tribe be given land in 6th scheduled areas ?
Pradyot_Tripura@PradyotManikya

Land allotment under question is from Udaipur Sub-Division of Tripura and the total land area is 0.22 acres. How was land allotted to a foreign national whose address is clearly shown as Bangladesh? How can a non-Scheduled Tribe (ST) individual be allotted or allowed to buy land in a 6th Schedule area under the jurisdiction of the TTAADC? If such an incident had taken place in mainland India, it would have triggered nationwide outrage. But because it’s happening in Tripura, in the Northeast, silence prevails. The individual in question, Akul Latif, now claims Indian identity and is reportedly residing somewhere in India with documents to back it. He could be in Tripura, elsewhere in the Northeast, or beyond. Will the ECI do something because the then DCM, Revenue Officer and Tehsildar have clearly implicated themselves, also this could not have taken place without political knowledge. Once again I will be attacked for exposing this by some of my political friends, but it’s my duty to expose these realities in our region . Thank You Purna Chandra Jamatia CEM to many but to me a tiprasa warrior, for giving me these land documents.

NEWS | Freebies May Win Elections but Will Ruin a Generation: Assam MLA Mrinal Saikia BJP legislator from Khumtai constituency, Mrinal Saikia, has voiced strong concerns over the growing culture of political freebies, cautioning that while such tactics may win elections, they risk damaging the long-term future of the Assamese community. Saikia, currently visiting #Kerala to study rural tourism models, shared his views in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, June 14. In his post, he stated, "I want to help people, but I don’t believe in 100% freebies. These practices will win some elections but ruin a generation. I am in Kerala right now to see how rural tourism works and people earn with dignity. As long as we don’t understand dignity of labour, no power on Earth can save us, the Assamese people." The video shows Saikia visiting a textile shop, observing a man working on a handloom. #Assam @Mrinal_MLA
