It's Ravi Shastri's birthday today. And most of you probably remember him for coin tosses and 'tracer bullets.' But Ravi Shastri was a Champion of Champions in 1985 in a tournament that featured the likes of Imran, Hadlee, Kapil and Viv Richards, getting there with a phenomenal work ethic and attitude. Ravi Shastri was the first Indian cricketer to openly give back as good as he got from those sledging him, Aussies, Poms, even the fearsome West Indian pacers. He averaged 40 plus away against Australia and the West Indies with a memorable century against Roberts, Holding and Marshall at St John's and an epic double hundred at Sydeney. Ravi was the hardest bargainer before he got on to a project, but once he committed, he worked like a complete professional, and again, there aren't too many you can say that about. I am not able to recollect who but half way into the IPL but some expert actually predicted exactly what happened with #GT today, I can't remember who it was. He said something like "GT is not a 240-250 team like PBKS or SRH. They can only go until 210-220 and their bowlers will make sure the opponents don't get there. The day the GT bowlers have an off day, the opponents will get to 250 and the GT batsmen can't chase that down." Does anyone remember who said that? Please share the video if you remember.

The Zomato rider picks it up. Delivers home. No clue that ₹1,200 of food is riding shotgun with a ₹40 order. He’s using Zomato’s app. Zomato’s rider. Zomato’s entire logistics network and paying zero commission on 90% of his bill. It’s cheaper than booking directly from Porter and restaurant. The restaurant loves it. Full margin, no 25 to 30% Zomato cut. The customer loves it. No platform fee. No surge. No GST on the hidden portion. Zomato? Quietly subsidising the entire operation. And here’s the part nobody’s talking about this isn’t one rogue customer. Restaurants are in on it. They may be whispering this tip to regulars to keep them off the app. If this spreads, the unit economics of food delivery don’t just dip they bleed out from the inside. Zomato needs to plug this loophole. This is exploitation of the system. Zomato MUST do something to stop this. Have you seen this happening in your area?

Why do you guys hate Virat Kohli so much? Ajinkya Rahane is being made an easy scapegoat by KKR Fans only cause he is seen as a soft spoken individual : He came for cheap 1.5cr and did a commendable job as captain and batter. He had his hands tight when it came to team selections with two of their frontline players Harshit Rana and Matheesha Pathirana injured so unfortunately Vaibhav Arora was forced to play majority of this campaign and was their biggest let down. Cameron Green wasn't able to bowl at the beginning and that hampered them. As soon as he started to bowl the team started delivering. For me his biggest blunder as captain was benching their match winner Finn Allen for so many games. I would still retain him and give him captaincy duties for one more season. He needs to be given the benefit of doubt here.

As a Neutral I wish GT could win, but they are just 45/3 away in a chasing game and its game over.. RR is a dangerous team and excelt MI no team will allow them to score 200 Vaibhav falls early.. RCB is a strong team but Patidar and DDP slump along with Kings inconsistency worries me a bit.. SRH has top 4 scoring 500 Runs a reliable all rounder in Nitish and Few uncapped Indian Gems in Smaran, Arora, Praful & Sakib.. they are arguably the most balanced team and we did not even mention about Pat Malinga and the untilized Bench.. New Chandigarh suits them the most among all four.. But the most deserving teams came to Play offs
