@Alan_Tonge @jsvickery Pretty much sums up what I think Al. The opening 10mins in such a vital game was shockingly poor. We need a few players especially in defence who ‘will die for the cause’

@grecian10681068 @JRCooper26 Off the top of my head, I reckon Grenville Hair(1952)to Peter Lorimer(1985) Lorimer was released around the age of 40 when Billy Bremner took over as manager in 1985

Off to parkrun this morning. It's been ages since I've been. Lucky me gets to look after my grandson rather than running 5k!

From the Grecian Archive on this day in:- 1971 City get a point in a 0-0 draw, away to Preston the first team to take a point at Deepdale for 6 months. 2005 Grays’ hopes of winning a second straight FA Trophy hang in the balance after they slipped to a 2-1 defeat to Exeter

Colwill: ‘I’m very happy to get this sorted. This is my club and it’s the only place I’ve wanted to be since I was nine. I’m extremely proud to be wearing this shirt and I’ll give everything I can to get us back to where we belong. I can only see exciting times for us ahead.’

My absolute favourite car of yesterday's Historics sale (and I missed watching the bidding on it), was this Bentley Continental S2. It was purchased in 2017 for £265,000, offered at auction last year and didn't sell, and then offered yesterday with a guide between £60k-£80k. Sold for £85,500 inc fees. Such a gorgeous thing, and in my eyes the patinated paintwork adds to its allure. Plenty of money spent in current ownership, but also has been sat for some time and requires recommissioning. This is the singular car I'd love to be able to drive (and go on a road trip) from this sale, just wonderful.

@FlyFifer10 Yes, the old nationalised gas board made a lot of money for the country. Large profits which went straight into the government coffers. At the time the cheapest Natural Gas in the world. I remember my old boss predicting what would happen & he was proved right.

@RussellG61 All ended up having work for life through their trade, all ended up in different rolls outwith the gas board. Certainly things changed with privatisation and not for the better.
