Justice Jackson wrote a 35-page dissent in Chiles v. Salazar about how it should be constitutional to ban counselors from telling a boy he is not a girl. It was longer than Justice Gorsuch's majority opinion and Justice Kagan's concurring opinion combined.

Come on Houston Chronicle!! There is no “charge” of anything. People simply posted Talarico’s own words on video. “Half-baked” would be him flipping on meat or y’all pretending that playing a clip of him talking is somehow a “half-baked charge”. #txlege
Houston Chronicle@HoustonChron

The charge stems from a 2022 talk to an animal rights group where the Democrat boasts of running a "non-meat campaign" for reelection to the Texas House. bit.ly/3NRdkst

I know everyone's giving Talarico a hard time over the meat thing, but if I had to eat Texas BBQ regularly, I'd also probably turn vegetarian and gay.

Whenever the topic is something the media doesn’t like, journalists all become creative writing professors. The press has done everything possible to obfuscate the facts of this story—and it has done so deliberately.

Talarico's words are indicative. They point to a considered, premeditated, fully conscious extremism. A crucial test arose, and Talarico failed it. There is no justifiable reason to put him in the Senate as a reward. nationalreview.com/corner/james-t…

This piece is justly being shared around. All I will add is this: if you want to understand the venom behind DOGE, the attacks on academia, and the grants being cut across the government... this is the thing to read, really. This is the main reason that all is happening.

We’re moving fast to establish the largest day-one school choice program in the U.S. and fundamentally improve education in Texas. Thanks for having me out to discuss Texas Education Freedom Accounts, @TCCRI @RussellHWithers #txlege

@DavidAFrench Activists of all stripes don’t need to hear this because activists of all stripes don’t behave this way.

An important argument (from the left!) regarding trans activism that activists of all stripes should read. Deception and bullying provide short-term gains (that's why it's so tempting), but they also do profound long-term harm.

@mjs_DC Counterpoint: Reversing Chevron means only a restoration of one of the few things normies still believe about how government is supposed work under the Constitution. Congress writes the laws. The Executive doesn’t get to pretend they mean whatever it wants them to mean.

Here's the secret morning routine I use for success as a dad to four small children, a busy lawyer, and a business owner. First, any great morning starts the night before. My wife and I make it a habit to spend 90-120 minutes each night doing nothing except trying to get small humans into a state of deep sleep. Before kids, we spent our evenings taking walks together, working out, reading, watching a show, or tidying up the house. Or, if you can believe it, doing all those things in a single evening. But this was a poor use of time. To achieve success, you actually need to spend your evenings in a state of mild exhaustion and frustration. Then, promptly at 5:30 am, at least one child will begin to scream bloody murder. This cues the protective instinct and causes me to spring out of bed involuntarily. It gets the heart rate going and pumps blood to the brain. Note: This method works even better if the child comes into our room before beginning their scream as the sound waves penetrate the ear drum better. Some days, as was the case recently, this initial screaming is due to some sort of medical event, such as vomiting. This particular type of scream is especially effective as it taps into the adrenal glands, which provide the nervous system with needed fuel. Okay, by this point in the morning, my neurons are primed. I'm really getting warmed up for the day. I chug some water and put on a pot of coffee. I always time my first sip of coffee with the cry of one of the babies. This delayed gratification strategy tricks my mind and builds resilience. "Oh, you wanted a sip of that freshly brewed Colombian roast? Well, change this dirty diaper instead." It's all about learning to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Finally, all four children are awake and active. In no time at all, their own hunger and thirst instincts kick in and they move to overtake the kitchen. The kitchen is now a swirl of activity. Juice spills, toaster dings, and numerous close calls with sharp objects. The chaos activates my natural fight-or-flight response. And flight is exactly what I will do. My quiet office, which, after spending close to two hours in such a primal, banshee environment, has never sounded so good. This response tells me I'm ready for work. I sneak back into my room and get dressed. Now, I just need to make my exit. I kiss goodbye to both my wife and any thought of eating breakfast, tell the kids I love them, and desperately run out to my car, again elevating my heart rate one last time. My mind now believes that I'm on some sort of vacation and is eager to dive into my work. Simple as that. Follow me for more #entrepreneur tips.
