Robin and I believe strongly that the Lord has a plan for our lives, and this moment is no different. We trust fully in His guidance and are grateful for the opportunities He has given us to serve. While last night’s results were not what we hoped for, I am grateful for the record we built and the campaign we ran. I want to thank Governor Greg Abbott for asking me to serve as Acting Texas Comptroller and for endorsing our campaign. I’m also grateful for the many business, law enforcement, and agricultural organizations that stood with us, as well as the hundreds of thousands of grassroots voters and supporters who believed in our mission. It has been an honor to serve as your Acting Comptroller. I remain committed to keeping Texas the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
