@nihilists4jesus Exactly. Noah should have acted more like Nelson and reminded people to read their tablets and be nice to each other rather than predicting and preparing for a global disaster. #thinkcelestial
English

@SirMilesman @BookofMomma6 That's nice, but obviously avoiding the question. Certainly strange that "god's spirit" confirms contradictory truths, and one's truths often match the religion of your youth 🧐
Probably just coincidence.
English

@RustleNelly @BookofMomma6 I’d say we claim the privilege of worshipping almighty God, according to the dictates of our own conscience and allow all men the same privilege; let them worship how, where or what they may.
English

@BookofMomma6 Yes. History doesn't pull anyone in, but it should, and does, pull many out
English

@SirMilesman @BookofMomma6 What do you say to people who say Jesus isn't the Christ (e.g. Muslims) and the spirit of god confirmed that to them?
English

@BookofMomma6 Amen, sister. I believe the church to be true because the Spirit of God has confirmed it to me.
English

@jonathanaplumb @originalJavaJoe Mass delusion is still delusion, but hang in there buddy, your apologetics are right on the edge of being great. Couple more teenage insults and you'll be there!
English

@jonathanaplumb @originalJavaJoe And Jesus said, thou shalt go forth and call them "douche canoes" in my name, and then thou shalt eat thine fruit loops and watch thine cartoons
English

@jonathanaplumb @originalJavaJoe "you're simply delusional" says the man who believes a 19th century rock glowed with spiritual text
English

@jonathanaplumb @originalJavaJoe Ya, around here we only believe Joseph's made up stories and no one else's
English

@CerebralCereal0 @LDSMormon Right, the spiritual confirmation that people of all conflicting faiths claim.
English

@RustleNelly @LDSMormon The Holy Ghost will confirm truths

So another Temple Sealer left the church because he “read church history, and my conscience could not allow me to stay.”
That wasn’t your conscience speaking. Your adversary put a negative thought in your brain, and you allowed it to expand and destroy your testimony.
That’s how he works. Something as simple as a thought, an idea, a feeling, a fear, etc., enters our mind, and unless we recognize what is happening, it can become a wedge that can destroy our testimony.
I’ve had those same things happen to me hundreds if not thousands of times. Satan never gives up. He looks for every possible chance to place that little wedge to start its destructive process.
Let me give you a secret: I’ve discovered that whenever I get lax or lazy in my reading, prayers, or service, his thoughts are strongest. When that happens now, it makes me mad because I realize that I’ve been lazy and need to get better.
I encourage you to keep nurturing and watering your Tree of Faith. Don’t let anything, including any negative report of our beloved Prophets that may or may not be accurate. They will be judged for their actions just as you will be for yours.
I leave you with my testimony that I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God’s only true church on the earth. The Book of Mormon is true and our Prophet, @NelsonRussellM is the only man authorized to exercise all priesthood keys and with whom He speaks today.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

@saynotocreatine I just listened to a podcast about a lady that was in an actual cult where they had her lay naked on a table and branded the leaders initials next to her vagina, after having her say that she was honored to do this. I will never take 'your church is a cult' seriously.
English

@CerebralCereal0 @LDSMormon So the spirit of god is telling everyone that their conflicting beliefs are true?
English

You are correct in this assessment if the Spirit of God is not operating. Your interpretation is devoid of any influence from God. I think its less repetition and more active study and learning from the Holy Ghost. Your soul enlarges as you continue in good faith prayer and study. Your understanding expands, the gaps of ignorance are filled with knowledge.
English

@CerebralCereal0 @LDSMormon I think people of all faith do exercise alma 32, which is why people of all faiths vehemently argue that their particular brand is correct. Alma 32 is simply the principle of repetition, do something over and over and familiarity becomes conflated with truth.
What do you think?
English

@RustleNelly @LDSMormon What do you think?
English

@jonathanaplumb @originalJavaJoe Ok pretend a genius forger has it out for Joseph and alters it. Now it's Joseph's word against his. So what could Joseph do? Easy, translate it a third time, which would match 1 and 2 and prove his ability.
Joseph didn't retranslate because he couldn't, and his excuse is silly.
English

@LDSMormon Just to make sure I understand:
conscience says the mormon church is true = holy ghost / light of christ
conscience says mormon church is false = adversary / false spirit
English

@DeseretBro @LDSMormon It's almost like every religion-every single one- is made up 🧐
English

@LDSMormon Every religion has messy history—every single one.
Humans are messy and history is messy. So don’t look for perfection—look for truth.
“Every man is eventually backed up to the wall of faith, and there he must make his stand.”
-Ezra Taft Benson
English

@CerebralCereal0 @LDSMormon Should this be applied to all faiths or just the mormon one?
English

@LDSMormon Alma 32. gotta nurture the faith or it withers and dies
English

@TylerStewart @bryanth2o Never really thought about it but Joseph did cheat on his wife and lie about it as well as perpetuate various financial frauds including a failed bank and scamming his friends. Joseph and trump, a fair comparison!
English

@bryanth2o 🤡🤡🤡
Joseph Smith was arrested and jailed many times - once for ‘incitement of a riot’ and ‘treason’. Sound familiar?
No LDS person should have any problem whatsoever voting for a person unfairly targeted by an unjust legal system targeting individuals.
English

@faithfulsakura Don't let anyone convince you of what you should believe. If the church works for you, great. If it doesn't, great. Do what is honest and true according to your knowledge and gut.
