I’m not sure why we still have a monarch. It seems like a medieval anachronism to me; a demonstration of inherited status and the the pinnacle of an entrenched aristocracy. And I’m really not sure why our monarch has gone to the US to stand next to another man with too much power, land and money.

@michelle_byoung I have also sometimes said to kids in school who tattle that if the thing you are telling me is your opinion ‘I think/don’t think…’ or doesn’t concern you ‘David is whistling’ then I don’t need to know from you. (Unless someone is getting hurt).

My autism spectrum kid is a real stickler about fairness & it can make for some AWKWARD social situations like when nobody actually wants to hear the REAL TRUTH or navigating being a tattletale, etc. I try to explain these nuances often in vain. Any tips? I don’t want to shame…

@norma49001 @SimonVelocity @choose_gaia I also don’t mean that as an insult either. I previously spent 20 years working as technical crew in theatre, a man’s world. I have become used to the way people talk to you when they consider you to be inferior.

@norma49001 @SimonVelocity @choose_gaia I am glad there are people who are prepared to do that job, I really am, however you seem convinced I am not required and should go back to my previous job. Perhaps I should, but maybe first we should check-in on some current teachers to see if having help is indeed helpful.

@RuthAtktweets @SimonVelocity @choose_gaia Tough and emotionally draining at times but rewarding and challenging which I liked. Teaching children you have probably read about in the press. Usually one to one and an assistant.

@norma49001 @SimonVelocity @choose_gaia My Mum was also teaching classes of 40 near Manchester in the 1960’s. She, however, recognised that one person couldn’t adequately do that alone, or at least that was her opinion.
