1./ My latest article explores the truth behind an incredible scandal. 3 days ago the UK government announced it will host a huge jamboree for the LGBTQ+ lobby next year. As if that's not bad enough it will also hand over £21M to insane LGBTQ+ organisations. What's going on? 👉

The WHO trans healthcare guidelines are coming and they will be bad One of the objectives of trans activism has been to get trans-ness depathologised. Meaning, to have it taken out of the official category of mental illness. There’s a problem, however: how can you ask the state to pay for your healthcare (breast implants or amputations, for example) for something that is not a disease or a mental illness? The solution that the drafters of the World Health Organisation’s almanac, the ICD, was to reclassify wrong-bodyism as “conditions related to sexual health”. But reclassifying something means you also need new guidelines to go along with it. How should this very-much-not-a-mental-illness be treated by doctors and shrinks? How do we justify the coverage of cures for people who definitely-do-not-need-to-be-cured-of -anything? What a conundrum. The task of drawing up the new WHO guidelines got underway in 2023ish, and when the names of the people who would draft it went public, TERFs went bananas because all the people in the Guideline Development Group seemed to be ideologues. They are not just on the trans train, they’re driving it. They’re in the engine room shovelling buckets of black coal into its furnace. Anyway, one of the external experts was a very pervy Canadian autogynephile called Florence Ashley. He quit the group after the uproar, and in the months that followed, various gender critical/evidence-based medicine and TERFy type groups made statements about the crazies who were still in it. Nothing has been announced publicly since then. This systematic review from May 2025 seems to claim that the group has decided on 15 “outcomes of interest”, with the help of WHO technical experts. The outcomes are based on “patient importance” so I think we can safely predict where all this is going. Later last year, someone from ILGA-Europe reportedly said that clinics don’t have to wait for the guidelines to get busy transitioning their patients. Indeed, as I wrote for Genspect, trans ‘affirming’ care is a blossoming industry; the real value of the WHO guide, whenever it gets here, will be comms that will help feed lobbyists arguing for public reimbursement of medical transition. The WHO has cachet, so you can imagine the headlines to come. This is the trans activists’ version of the Cass Report. See the recent list of drafters in the WHO trans guideline group, link below

unicef.org/timorleste/sto… ‘ Each toilet block consists of inclusive, gender disaggregated flush toilets, which have handwashing basins’ When they say ‘gender disaggregated’ what they mean is single-sex. Michaela lives in Timor-Leste. This lovely young girl is getting an education and is very happy that @UNICEF, under the auspices of its WASH campaign, has provided single-sex toilets in her school to encourage girls, in particular, to attend. [ The UN understands that girls in the developing world are less likely to attend school if the toilets are NOT single-sex]. If, however, Michaela were to move to Ireland, the Irish Department of Education @Education_Ire and the Irish government would tell her that she no longer had the right to the privacy, dignity and safety of single-sex toilets at school. This may be upsetting and confusing for Michaela because the Irish government, as a UN member, supports the WASH campaign to provide single sex toilets for her in Timor-Leste but will take then away from her if she wants to attend a mixed-sex school in Ireland.

Hi @PresidentIRL, below is an article I wrote about BelongTo and my first hand experience after spending almost two years there as a vulnerable and confused teenager. If you value LGB young people, you simply will not endorse this organisation.

This is the new Wellbeing Curriculum for primary school children. It is being rolled out between now and 2030. On page 8 they claim they are providing "accurate...information" about sexuality, yet on page 24 they tell children that sexual orientation is "attraction to someone of a different GENDER, the same GENDER or more than one GENDER". This is gender ideology, not education. There is nothing accurate about lying to children. @Education_Ire you ought to be ashamed of yourselves!

Incredibly disappointing to see this. It is galactically inappropriate for the President of Ireland to act as a patron to Belong To, a very well funded lobby group for the medicalisation of children’s identities. We know these procedures cause harm. Children can’t consent to the loss of sexual functioning and infertility because they don’t understand the consequences of this. This is an unfolding medical scandal. Mo náire thú, a Uachtaráin

Today, the European Commission adopted a Communication responding to the European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) ‘Ban on conversion practices in the European Union'. We were relieved that the Commission stopped short of pursuing an EU-wide ban and will not seek to add conversion practices to the list of EU crimes under Article 83(1) TFEU. However, it plans to issue a non-binding recommendation next year urging states to introduce bans on so-called conversion practices, while continuing to mobilise its enormous resources and soft-power machinery to pressure governments into adopting such legislation. Gender identity has thoroughly captured the EU. The range of actions announced today is aimed at consolidating far-reaching regimes in some Member States, nudging reluctant ones off the fence, and laying the groundwork for the next political turn in resistant states and EU candidate countries. Broad opposition is growing across Europe, led by feminists, lesbian and gay rights organisations, parent groups, and an increasing number of clinicians and therapists raising concerns about the risks involved. Yet these voices are systematically excluded from the EU’s internal discussions. Bans on so-called “conversion practices” are deceptively framed. They invoke the brutal abuse once inflicted on lesbians and gay men, while applying that historical imagery to something fundamentally different. Framed around gender identity and expression, these bans risk harming the very people they claim to protect - particularly gender non-conforming children who may simply grow up to be lesbian, gay, or bisexual. Such bans entrench the unscientific belief that some children are “born in the wrong body” and should be placed on a path toward irreversible medicalisation. In practice, they make affirmation of a child’s self-declared gender identity a legal requirement not only for therapists, but for teachers, doctors, and even families. Making affirmation the only permissible approach to a child’s self declared gender identity is not protection. Young people struggling with their sex require open, exploratory and therapeutic support; their families deserve evidence-based care; and society needs honesty and clarity.

Why is this being left up to a handful of journalists and the few parents and students who are willing to speak out? You’d think that because this involves the safety, privacy and dignity of girls in particular that the National Women’s Council of Ireland @NWCI would have something to say about single sex provision being stripped away from girls in schools. But no, the publicly funded - yes, every woman in the state is paying these women’s wages - NWCI does not campaign for the rights of women and girls anymore. In fact, two years ago, the NWCI campaigned to have the word ‘woman’ and women’s constitutional financial safety net (as yet under-utilised) removed from the constitution. They also campaigned to have the rights of carers (almost always women) and those they care for significantly undermined by the insertion of a blatantly cost-reducing measure into the constitution. The NWCI and the Irish government lost on both counts. You’d think we’d be used to the NWCI’s ignorance of its own brief but no, it’s shocking every time because I know there are great women in there who truly do hold the rights of women and girls forefront in their minds. And I know there are so many organisations that are members of NWCI who are doing meaningful work improving the lives of women and girls all across the country. But why would an organisation called the National Women’s Council NOT be intervening where girls are being stripped of their rights to private, single sex toilet provision?

My letter to the Irish Times yesterday… I can’t imagine why they didn’t publish it! A chara, The Irish Times seems increasingly determined to avoid a story even when it is sitting directly in front of them. Genevieve Carberry’s piece, “Irish sisters in Miami: Weight-loss drugs have changed our plastic surgery business” (May 11th), presents Dr Sidhbh Gallagher as a glamorous Miami cosmetic surgeon enjoying a successful expatriate lifestyle. It is startling that Carberry omitted the fact that Dr Gallagher has become a highly controversial figure associated primarily with the medical transition of minors in the United States.  Here we have a doctor who built an international following on TikTok speaking about “yeeting the teets” of teenage girls - surgically removing the healthy breasts of deeply distressed adolescents - yet the article instead gushes about Pilates, paramotoring, dogs in strollers, and the “easy life” in Miami Beach. Dr Gallagher became internationally controversial after being reported to the US Federal Trade Commission over allegations that her social media content aggressively marketed irreversible surgeries to minors. The journalistic instinct to frame the medical transition of minors as progressive now looks badly dated. European health authorities are pulling back. Systematic evidence reviews continue to expose how weak the underlying evidence base is. Detransitioners are now speaking publicly in growing numbers. I founded Genspect in 2021 to support families and detransitioners affected by trans medicalisation. We have helped over 5000 parents and over 600 detransitioners internationally. Yet much of the Irish media still covers this field with the breathless eagerness of a teenager newly admitted into the cool kids’ club. I suspect that if a surgeon had built a public persona around removing healthy organs from any other vulnerable patient group, journalists might display rather more curiosity about this ongoing medical scandal. Is mise, le meas, Dr Stella O’Malley Director, Genspect

The female sex class has specific needs and issues, and the job of addressing these needs and issues at a political level is almost always given to a female. When such a female chooses not to defend women’s rights, because it would endanger their own personal status, that is worthy of comment. Of course it’s true that many men are in thrall to gender ideology too, but by definition, being men, they’ve never needed the rights they now seek to dismantle. A woman, though - unless she’s been unusually sheltered from birth - knows from her own life experience how important those hard won rights are, because she’ll have benefited from them. If she then achieves the kind of power and/or economic security that mean she has no personal need for state-run single-sex spaces and services, but uses her platform to decree that women without her protections no longer need what she herself used and took for granted, she is guilty of a particularly egregious hypocrisy.

HATCH from USA is making their way around Europe to host unlawful and unethical events. These commercial surrogacy companies will likely have these events online - so the practice needs to be stopped in its entirety. What type of event vetting do these hotels have? @MarriottIntl @AndersonAfDMdEP ❌Dublin Clayton- SHUT DOWN ❌London Marriott- NO RECORD OF EVENT ON 🖊️Berlin Marriott - LETTER SENT (BELOW) ______________ Dear Marriott, We have just been made aware that there is another commercial surrogacy event being held at the Berlin Marriott May 8-10th.  This contradicts German law and Marriott’s own human rights policies. Commercial surrogacy is illegal in Germany, and Germany generally prohibits all forms of surrogacy, including altruistic surrogacy. The prohibition is based mainly on the German Embryo Protection Act and Adoption Placement Act. We are aware that Marriott has committed to conducting its business in accordance with internationally recognised human rights standards, including opposition to practices that may involve the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. This is just shocking, awful for both boys and girls. Thank you @irishdailymail for this article.
LiLeax@leax_li

Great article @irishdailymail. Kudos to those parents speaking out. Interesting parallel situation in this article linked below. The student’s parents are suing over the same type of unisex toilets @HCETSS have installed. In Ireland’s Equality Acts gender means sex, male and female, and an exemption on the Gender Ground allows for ‘different treatment on the basis of gender where embarrassment or breach of privacy could reasonably be expected to happen on account of the presence of a person of another gender’ Be interesting to see who gets sued here. I wouldn’t want to be a school principal, BOM member or patron body of a school that has approved the @HCETSS type of set-up highlighted in the @irishdailymail article. @1Hildegarde has washed hands, says it’s up to schools how they designate toilets, @hcetss says it’s only following orders from the Department of Education 🤔. @EducateTogether @Education_Ire ‘Distressed schoolgirl avoids gender-neutral lavatories, court told’ thetimes.com/article/ad5d10
