If you need sanitary pads and can’t afford them, feel free to ask me. Growing up, I suffered period poverty, and I’ll be damned if I let any other woman go through it. #Power2Her

“No one is coming to save you.”
That’s a lie. My sister will be there so fast. She will find me. My mum will most likely find/save me before she does. I’m rest assured that my loved ones are coming to save me.
We have to be so careful of the things we see on the internet that we carelessly repeat. You have a community. You are not alone.

Today, I completely lost my cool for maybe the first time in my adult life. It revealed a new kind of anger I didn’t know I was capable of. I am not proud of it, but I am self-aware enough to know I have to learn from this.
The details are unimportant, but I clearly wasn’t measured in my utterances against someone I believed had wronged me deeply. In that moment, my grievance felt justified, but justification and wisdom are not the same thing.
I remember what a friend said once about the human conscience being like a triangle inside the heart. When we act against what we know to be right, the triangle turns and its edges rip the heart a little. If a heart is ripped too often, the triangle spins easier and faster. And eventually may spin freely.
Today I felt the first cut, and I am strangely grateful for the sting of it, because it means the triangle has not learned to spin freely in me and my conscience still has teeth.
But it took a call from my friend whose opinion I respect to remind me that I had acted beneath who I am called to be and whether I was right or not was insignificant.
I have always dreaded conflict. Instead of confronting things early and honestly, I often let them sit quietly until it breaks something. The anger I displayed today was an outlet for a lot of suppressed emotions, but it was also very irresponsible.
I have sincerely apologized.
But I’ll always remember this as an important test of my character. I get it now. I had only understood it in theory previously, but our character is not proven on our best days, it is revealed on our worst. I must do the diligent work of guarding my heart everyday.

@EmmanuelAkpe Thankyou for the recommendation. How can it be downloaded?

@Dikachi289705 @aproko_doctor Children of nowadays can make you feel you older than your age sometimes
English

@aproko_doctor 30's comes with responsibilities
Can't imagine dressing like children that calls me uncle 😂
Small boy like me collecting good afternoon sir from the children in my compound and street's .
English

Since I turned 30, a lot of things about me have changed. My dress sense has changed, I eat good food now. People have started asking questions about why my skin is glowing. But the truth is I just changed everything about my life. I can’t even remember the last time I asked a girl out — one is now enough for me.
