As we get ready for the @ikonawards Awards, our discussion focused on the transformative impact of "edutainment." In Uganda, many actors are not paid, improvise their own costumes, pay their own transport, do their own makeup, and sometimes even feed themselves, all in fear to ask for pay lest the role be given to someone “more willing.”
It has been normalized.
