@shahh Yugioh failed at become a lifestyle brand. Thats really the changing factor. It was probably farm more successful as a TCG in fact, but it never aimed to be in folks homes. Pokemon has plates, cups and you name it. It was intentional about living with its community.

Words cannot describe how I feel right now. It’s been a long time coming, but I finally took down my first YCS. Honestly, it was a tough battle, playing 11 out of 14 mirror matches. I had to stay sharp the entire time. A huge thanks to @pakofficialtcg and @TrinityYGO for prepping me for this event. I HIGHLY recommend anyone wanting to improve to check out @pakofficialtcg on Metafy. If you’re willing to learn, this is the best thing for you. Pak will be your teacher and guide you every step of the way. Seriously, what’s the point of competing with the best deck if you don’t know how to use it properly? I KNOW anyone who puts in the time to improve and avoids making excuses like, “this format is solitaire” or whatever will see results. Stop yapping and start grinding. Please change your mindset. This game is a beautiful game. I’m not even good and still managed to do well. To anyone talking down on Cancun, seriously, shut up. You’ll never top or win a YCS if you don’t know what it’s like to compete at a higher level. Stop the yap. I’ll 14-0 you too, no problem. Anyway, for those who supported me along the way, I really appreciate you. Thank you again for all the love. I’ll keep eating my Wheaties and doing my pushups to get ready for the next YCS.

@JimmyRustlesonx @TrevorAllenMD If you know exactly what opp's cards are, you know what he will do, so you know what to hit and if he has an extender. Think Lukias in DT, usually you wouldn't ash it, but if it's the only play its the correct thing to do.

My anti-Joshua Schmidt take: hand knowledge, even w/o any added effect, is one of the most broken mechanics in YGO. Maybe that wasn’t true 5yrs ago, but with every deck putting up a dozen interactions, knowing your opponent’s hand & how the deck functions is a win condition.

@TrevorAllenMD @CaliCh33sehead All you need is a level 6 spell caster that you can SS. Then you just play a spell card summon DMOD and then pull timeous out of your deck and discard and bam dragoon. However it’s a 2 discard combo so not sure how it would be beneficial
