@ElectronTowing @h9crx @OctopusEnergy Heat pumps should be cheaper than gas CH if properly configured, but I feel many installers don't set them up for maximum efficiency. My neighbor's heat pump has higher bills than my 15-year-old gas boiler.

@h9crx @OctopusEnergy they just need to be setup correctly, spent far too many hours chasing our installers lack of understanding of heatpumps to get the high COPs we get now. Even in today's -6C weather the heatpump has only used 7kWh.

@OctopusEnergy Hi, wondering if you got my last reply on DM, was sent when I was out in area with poor mobile data it was shown as sent but not showing on DM anymore not sure if it actually got sent or just X app being glitchy on my phone.

@firstdirecthelp I know FD app got payment notifications was wondering for DD and Bacs payment dose it notification on the day it comes in or out of the account or the days before I know it's show up on upcoming transactions on the app.

@ovh_support_en Is OVH planning to allocate a /64 to each VPS in the future, like other major providers? Currently, they provide a /128 from what seems to be a shared /64 with other VMs. Dedicated servers get a /64. Can you explain this distinction? 🤔 #IPv6 #OVH

@Ry3nlNaToR Hi Ryan, it looks like we're just waiting for some 3rd party data to come through (the gas calorific value), which helps us work out your gas usage in kWh. The Held Charges under View my balance history should be fairly close to the actual charges that will be finalised soon. 🐙

@OctopusEnergy Hi was wondering when my gas bill is going to show up submitted it last Friday, you should know my account details since I've DM in the past.

If do you do a purchase on starling via Curve card the merchant is shown as Curve which is technically true, but on Chase Bank they match the Curve transaction to the merchant of the purchase and display their logo which looks better than just the transaction category icon.

@MoneySavingExp Currently with @OctopusEnergy switched to them last month,clear communications on the £400 energy scheme emailed saying they going to lower the DD amount in plenty of time so you could increase back up to use the £67 as extra buffer, account already credited the first payment.

With the energy price guarantee coming into effect last Saturday and the £400 energy bill discount starting this month, we'd like to know how smooth the process has been for you, and whether your bills have risen more or less than you expected?

@OctopusEnergy my switch date is today,got a email this morning saying "Your electricity switch is officially complete", will I get one for gas too, email said I've not submit opening readings I did that 2 days ago is that just a glitch, plus when is my first DD payment.

@ManosDePiedra86 @BeckettUnite I know they buy in advance, the issues you get on social media is certain people/organisations like to release misleading info like gas pricing coming down but bills still going up, unfortunately gets lots of likes,the issue most users don't understand how the energy market works

@Ry3nlNaToR @BeckettUnite Companies also don't buy gas at the daily prices. They sign advance contracts to cover a set period. I'm all for campaigning to help those who are struggling, calls for windfall taxes etc, but it's misleading to just point to the live price and pretend the problem has gone away.

Wholesale gas is 40% cheaper than March. Wholesale gas is 54% cheaper than August. Remember, your gas bill has climbed 85% during this time. We are being completely, totally & utterly ripped off.

@ManosDePiedra86 @BeckettUnite You're the only person that tweeted correct information,some people just don't seem to understand if the wholesale goes from 40/50 AVG to peek to 640,down 50% is still 700% more than usual.

@BeckettUnite Pre-crisis prices ~40p/therm. Current wholesale prices are still 700% higher than that.
