What a view. From our new free flying camera — deployed on yesterday’s New Shepard mission. (The “bubble” is the seam between two 180 degree lenses.)

Some of the amazing team from Space Lab Technologies is in Texas getting ready to integrate our payload into New Shepard to fly plants to space! Expect a few updates from me, but the official updates will be on LinkedIn & Instagram (@SpaceLabTech needs to be transferred). #NS35

From orbit, star trails streak the lights of cities at night and stamp lightning flashes into the time history, pulling spectacular colors from the darkness of space.

Asked about the interaction of the Human Landing System version of Starship's plume during landing with the lunar regolith and how it could interact with Starship's elevator mechanics, NASA's Lori Glaze says they're learning more from the SCALPSS payload, which flew on IM-1, Blue Ghost 1 and the upcoming Blue Moon Mk.1 mission. SpaceX is also required to perform an uncrewed landing and ascent demonstration with the HLS version of Starship prior to the Artemis 3 mission. Background on SCALPSS: ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/…

The world has lost an amazing explorer today, Fair Winds to Marc Garneau, Canada's first astronaut. I'm happy that we had several interactions thanks to the @csa_asc and their student / young professional programs. 🇨🇦👨🏼‍🚀🚀⛵

New Glenn safely reached its intended orbit during today's NG-1 mission, accomplishing our primary objective. The second stage is in its final orbit following two successful burns of the BE-3U engines. The Blue Ring Pathfinder is receiving data and performing well. We lost the booster during descent. We knew landing the first stage on the first try was ambitious. We'll learn, refine, and apply that knowledge to our next launch in the spring. We're thrilled with today's outcome. @NASA @fireflyspace @SpaceX 12/ One of the payloads, called 'Lunar PlanetVac,' is designed to collect and analyze samples of lunar regolith. These samples are not designed for return, but images and data will be shared publicly.
