Rogan referenced statistics that suggest five per cent of all deaths in Canada are a result of MAID, calling that figure "insane."
Poilievre and the Conservatives voted against the legislation that legalized MAID in 2016. But the party leader told Rogan he thinks "people should have the choice."

In one year from today, #StPatricksDay, #Canada will legalize #MAiD or assisted dying for solely mental illness.
This is happening while our countries faces a homelessness crisis, addiction epidemic, social assistance rates well below the poverty lines and right wing Trump style politics from the Premiers, MPs, MPPs, and even Mayors.
This is social murder through coercion and I am speaking from lived experience, for years MAiD has called out to my broken heart, whispering that it is my solution and escape.
Many vulnerable people in our disability community have already ended their lives while facing homelessness, a few more have used Track 2 MAiD to escape this traumatic vulnerable lifestyle created with disability poverty and vilifcation.
Below are links to my appearances on @jannarden, @AlJazeera, and even YouTube investigations.
Let me be clear: I support terminal or near terminal illness use of MAiD, I have issues with the process, the delivery method and Track 2 being so indeterminate.
But as someone who has 9 mental illnesses, I fear I might apply at my worst times, knowing there is no other way out in this elite, austerity driven era of gaslighting and vilifcation...
Please stop polarizing this issue and start saving lives by demanding your political leaders of all tiers start to fix this homelessness, addictions, disability and senior poverty and intimate partner or police violence against us disabled, women and BIPOC.
But in a country that employ Danielle Smith, Doug Ford, Cam Guthrie, David Eby, Tim Houston and more careless, selfish, spoiled and socially murdering politicians... We are facing our death sentence and this canary in the coal mine cannot sing forever, head my warnings and make change or you will lose so many Canadians to early, preventable death by mental illness.

We have lost another ODSP warrior. Soneone I have known for years, who fought her way out of homelessness only to suffer from poverty-related health conditions and chose to end her life through MAID. She struggled until she couldn't anymore. She was on our lists until the end. Got no help. A disgusting system. DISGUSTING. My deepest condolences to her daughter, who is now trying to pick up the pieces alone. She kept to herself, not sure how many of you knew her. Please say a prayer for J and A. #onpoli #ODSP
