“Lived experience” as a source of knowledge is fallible & subject to bias, but so is clinical experience and empirical research, in different ways & degrees. We collectively stumble towards knowledge through a diversity of standpoints, creative conjecture, and rigorous critique.

@TweetATherapist If you're practicing in an area where there are limited therapists, I suppose waitlists are a necessity. If there are other competent therapists or clinics in the area, waitlists serve the ego of the therapist, not the needs of the clients.

Therapists having waitlists: just refer out unless there’s a super specific niche or service you offer…yes?
