@bradleytyler20 @ScottBarrettDFB Yea this is one of those cases you look at numbers and just throw the shit away. Even if it’s comparing guys in just their own classes, this is saying that 47% of the WRs in Clavins class weighed more than 240 lbs? This makes zero sense.

Jeff Caldwell is inarguably the closest thing we've ever seen to Calvin Johnson based on athletic testing, and yet, he's supposed to go.... Round 5 or Round 6 in the Draft? Pretty crazy I know I'm the "athleticism doesn't matter for WRs" guy, but this is literally the most athletic WR ever (99.9 SPORQ)

@it_a_me_knowlzy There’s literally hikes in Arizona where, due to the route being rocky and no set path, the only “trail” is to follow is marked by carins

This a neutral topic of mine for quite some time. What is the actual ecological damage of ppl stacking rocks? I always thought of it as a few moments someone wasn’t on their phone but in nature doing something. Figuring out a puzzle of going higher when they can’t just ask grok how to do it.

@nickgerli1 The factor you’re leaving out is home owners insurance. Companies are pulling polices from hurricane zones buying house with a mortage REQUIREDs you to get HOI. With few options for ins, the premiums have skyrocketed causing the price of houses to drop to afford mortage and ins

Over 1,000 houses in Florida now have the word 'short sale' in their listing description. Most are listed at a loss from the previous sale. Some at a $100,000+ discount. Real distress is starting to show up. According to ATTOM, foreclosures in Florida were up 43% YoY in Q1 2026. If you want to get a discount, now is the time. Price forecasts by ZIP at reventure.app/mobile.

@UziCryptoo Well, first of all, they didn’t use your life savings to buy a rental and then also have a mortgage payment on it… If you paid cash for a rental, you would only have taxes and insurance only… some here and their repairs

When your friend tells you about the rental they bought using their life savings. That rents for $2,000/mo with a $1,600/mo payment. That they think will cash flow $400/mo….

@_CLEology My brother used to talk about this! An underrated guy who was excellent at this was John Brown at Buffalo. He said every one of his routes looked exactly the same from the DB’s perspective

Brady’s “shoulder plane” comment about JSN, pointing out that JSN doesn’t change his shoulder plane depending on his route. Essentially he has no “tell”. Makes it difficult for DB to diagnose route. Never heard anyone talk about that. Brilliant insight IMO.

This is a picture I took 20 years ago in San Antonio when these players were juniors in high school. Matt Stafford is in the middle of the picture and there are three other future NFL quarterbacks in the picture..

Morning! So I’ve done this once before, but after acquiring the /25, I figured it was time to restart the hunt. I am reaching out to the community to see if anyone out there had a lead on any of my brothers national treasures 1/1s (card and/or plates)? I appreciate it in advance

Data centers are the new oil: Data center energy consumption has reached a record 5% of total US power demand. By 2030, data center energy consumption will exceed 10% of total US power demand. The AI revolution is even bigger than you think.

The Kobeissi Letter@KobeissiLetter

This is BEYOND insane: AI compute demand is now growing at over 2 TIMES the rate of Moore’s Law, creating a massive shortage. Just to meet current demand, $500 billion must be invested in data centers PER YEAR until 2030. What does this mean? Let us explain. (a thread)

Blockbuster was just one part in a multi-step ritual celebrating the end of the working week. Rent a game, get a pizza, check out until Monday. It wasn't about Blockbuster but what Blockbuster meant, back when time had meaning.

Large centrings say for a bridge in a particular location would be one offs though some of the individual timbers might be reused If say a row of matching houses was built then the centres would be reused My dad had a gothic pointed arch centring (about 3 feet wide) in the back of his shed that had been used successively to do about ten windows in a church hall

@theos45 @MoMorry @JayblesBrown @mrgrozz Okay I’m out. Provide you with real examples and context as to why it matters and get hit with the “level of effort people don’t want to put in”. It’s you who wants people to do everything and then when are provided with evidence, move the goalpost. Have a nice one.

It’s not hypothetical it’s just a level of effort that most people don’t want to put in because it’s easier to be upset them figure it out C. "No one was saying this 15 years ago!" yeah because this wasnt an issue back then. When Stamkos tested free agency and took 8.5M to stay when other teams were offering him $11M that's when everybody clued in and it's been an issue ever since.
Zack Duarte@fflumberjack

this is kind of pathetic. Paul Bissonette, on NHL Postgame show on TNT said NHL needs to look into addressing the teams that don’t have to pay state income tax to their players because it’s too much of an advantage in the next CBA. That’s soft. Anson Carter quickly checked him.

@theos45 @MoMorry @JayblesBrown @mrgrozz It matters but it’s not the only thing. When Ty signed in San Fran, they openly acknowledged it was expensive to live there and they had high taxes, but to offset that they made every single thing about the facility state of the art. So teams must attract players in other ways

@RyanKroft @MoMorry @JayblesBrown @mrgrozz A. You can’t strictly talk that because it’s part of a bigger picture B. Ok then why didn’t you factor that in C. See A D. @theos45 @MoMorry @JayblesBrown @mrgrozz I’m talking strictly state income tax. I’m well aware the athletes have to pay in the city they play in and not just their home state. I’m using easy numbers as examples. My brother played for 9 years in NFL. If you don’t think this stuff matters when signing, you’re just wrong.

@RyanKroft @MoMorry @JayblesBrown @mrgrozz Your math is very wrong because you aren’t factoring in the jock tax. These are athletes not accountants or computer engineers. Different tax rules apply

@theos45 @MoMorry @JayblesBrown @mrgrozz Bc you asked for example, using nys 10% state tax. NYC offers 10 million contract. Player takes home 9 (before federal taxes) Dallas offers 10 million contact. Take home 10 M. NYC must offer 11 M contract so player has same take home. Those extra Ms matter in cap world.

@theos45 @MoMorry @JayblesBrown @mrgrozz Not sure how you fix it without changing state laws (maybe do the cap based on take home pay and not salary pre tax?). But to say it’s not an advantage is just wrong. You can pay the exact same player less to play in one of those states. And in a capped system, that matters
