Last weekend’s impactful winter storm affected 30 states across a 2,300-mile path, delivering record snowfall to the Northeast and Midwest, crippling ice to the Deep South, and severe thunderstorms to parts of the Gulf Coast. On its heels, we have a favorable pattern that needs to be watched for a potential coastal winter storm this upcoming weekend. #ncwx #scwx #wcnc

Potential is increasing for another significant winter storm to impact the eastern United States this coming weekend. It is too early to know the details, but please keep updated with the latest forecasts this week!

Already got a light glaze on everything here in Morganton. Where's my sleet? Yeah, we might be toast.

A festive snowy afternoon into evening period is expected for many across the Southern Apps region. This includes places like Central to Eastern TN, Eastern KY, Western VA & Western NC. A few areas I am also watching is Northern Alabama & North GA. Still watching a period of light snow/flurries breaking containment East of the mountains into North Carolina & Virginia later tonight. Areas like Northern SC could see some flurries also. Keep in mind, what you are seeing now isn't the main event. That pushes through later as mentioned.
