I’d have questions about school safety measures (like REDUCING covid testing and how the DOE is STILL falsely claiming classroom air purifiers are HEPA) but he never answers anything anyway. It’s all spin and manipulation. No wonder so many families don’t trust him.

Delos has made $$$ from their lower quality, extremely expensive air purifiers. If their purifiers are so good, where is the data? All they’ve ever provided is filter efficiency—that’s not what makes a good purifier w/ good CADR. (Their testing doesn’t even provide a CADR).
Jim Rosenthal@JimRosenthal4

Interesting. In the article they show test results from LMS Technologies (good lab). The problem is the data is meaningless taken out of context. Air cleaning is a combination of filter efficiency and air flow. Their fan power is questionable - thus the low CADR.

@Mssarahmssarah "Delos leveraged four years of research examining ultra-fine particle filtration, including a review of over 100 different air quality devices and technologies, in making its comprehensive, evidence-based recommendation of the Intellipure Compact."

Thanks for the reminder that both Delos and the NYC DOE are still arguing Intellipure air purifiers (the ones in NYC classrooms and other cities too) are high quality, without any independent testing data to support it (real independent data shows they’re low quality).

@Mssarahmssarah The claims are that the systems are providing better than HEPA, not that they are HEPA. You have been provided this information and know this. Why would you be upset that the DOE is exceeding the recommendations? news.yahoo.com/delos-special-…

Total System Efficiency, not what filter is in the unit, is the only way to look at an air purifiers ability. As lab data shows the majority of HEPA marketing products do not provide HEPA efficiency. news.yahoo.com/delos-special-…

There is a serious need to clean the air not only in classrooms, but with misinformation on air purifiers. Advocates, competitors and others are looking to confuse and muddy the difficult job schools have to provide healthier air quality during this pandemic. #IAQ

Good morning, Twitter! Woke up to a wonderful email today from a teacher at a school with touchless sanitizers in every classroom and throughout the building. The school has also provided families with masks, and all staff with cleaning supplies and masks.
