I’m reading through "All Things for Good" by Thomas Watson and came across this quote.
A sobering reminder that loving God means waging war against the sins we’re tempted to make peace with. May we love God enough to fight what fights against our souls.

I just read these words from Thomas Watson while praying for CROSS attendees who will be here in Louisville in two days. I am praying for this young generation to be zealous for the glory of God. May they be red hot with zeal! Praying they would see those older saints around them in their churches zealous for the glory of God! May all of our zeal pierce heaven!

As more and more young people (especially men) are drawn toward Eastern Orthodoxy, it's critical that Protestants engage with and seek to understand it biblically.
This Sunday our church history class will be doing exactly that at 9:30 AM at Capitol Hill Baptist Church.

It is possible to care about theology, ecclesiology, and thus missiological methodology while also caring that hundreds of thousands are dying every day without believing the gospel. Those two priorities don’t have to be at odds.

If we plant churches that do not teach people to live in faithful obedience to Christ, then we have not fulfilled the Great Commission, we have simply filled a room.
