🚨🇬🇧 They’re not documenting London’s “decline.” They’re manufacturing it. New GLA research found that: 🔺“London in decline” narratives have surged by 150–200% in just two years. 🔺Migration-related content is up 350%. And this isn’t happening organically. The push is being driven by coordinated networks: 🔺UK far-right ‘patriot’ accounts 🔺Russian and Chinese state-aligned bot operations 🔺MAGA-adjacent outrage merchants like Tommy Robinson and Adam Brooks One Vietnamese network reportedly used AI-generated imagery and fake local news branding to build an audience of more than a million followers. Meanwhile, London’s homicide rate is at its lowest level on record. So no, this is not fearless truth-telling or “citizen journalism.” It’s narrative engineering, disinformation dressed up as reporting. [SOURCE: GLA/BBC, April 2026]

The UK rushed HMS Dragon to the Mediterranean to project power after Iran targeted our Cyprus airbase. It’s now broken down due to a faulty water system. Our government has completely destroyed what was once the greatest navy in the world. Absolute humiliation.

@RichardDawkins It's the moral question of producing an, what we'd assume is a conscious, intelligent being as a science experiment. What rights would they have? Who'd protect their rights? Would they have parents/guardians from 'birth' who'd make choices for them? etc.

Neanderthal genome is largely known. If it becomes possible to reconstruct a live Neanderthal person, what, in your opinion, would be the pros and cons? I’m genuinely interested in canvassing opinions for and against.

Orbán and his team have started spreading Russian-style disinformation. They are sending out messages falsely claiming that our candidates are withdrawing. TISZA is not withdrawing anywhere; we are running with a real chance of winning in every constituency.

@realjohnmonarch @tomhfh Ok, & Switz, Nor, & Ire all have populations between 5 & 9 million. My point isn't denying the US is eco bigger than Europe - it is. It's challenging the idea Europe is poor, (the OPs point), & it clearly isn't. It's like saying a millionaire is poor because billionaires exist

@RyanStansfield6 @tomhfh You're trying to compare tax havens with populations of 38k (Monaco), 41k (Liechtenstein) that don't even have a military at all.. The smallest US state is 15x larger by population than Monaco. It's also pure denial to say Europe isn't falling behind economically.

@realjohnmonarch @tomhfh Sure, & are they European? Regardless, if we're looking at whether Europe is "Europoor" as is the claim, we can't just look up. China GDP per capita $13,310, India $2690, Russia $14,870. Europe has some of the highest GDP per capita globally, and suggesting it is poor is nonsense

Let's look at what that means: 1. Monaco - Tiny tax haven for the ultra rich 2. Liechtenstein - Tiny tax haven for the rich 3. Luxembourg - Tiny tax haven for bankers 4. Ireland - Small corporate tax haven 5. Switzerland - Tax haven for bankers + corps 6. Iceland - Tiny, massively tourism-dependent 7. Singapore - Tiny city-state 8. Norway - Small oil state 9. USA

What’s killing NATO isn’t the European refusals to access to US bases, but Trump’s unilateral decision to redefining NATO as a US force-projection tool rather than a collective defense arrangement. That’s the constitutional coup against the alliance. Europe didn’t break NATO, Trump did. ft.com/content/e2347e…

The European strategy for dealing with Trump is now basically the same as dealing with a drunken gobshite at the pub. Don't bother arguing. Just pick up your pint, move to another table and get on with your evening, comfortable in the knowledge he'll either piss himself and pass out or get barred.

Mar 18: "Our allies must cooperate in reopening the Strait of Hormuz." Mar 19: "US allies need to get a grip - step up and help open the Strait of Hormuz." Mar 20: "NATO are cowards." Mar 21: "The Strait of Hormuz must be protected by the countries that use it. We don't use it, we don't need to open it." Mar 22: "This is the last time. I will give Iran 48 hours. Open the strait" Mar 22: "Iran is Dead" Mar 23: "We had very good and productive talks with Iran." Mar 24: "We’re making progress." Mar 25: “They gave us a present and the present arrived today. And it was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money. I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize.” Mar 26: "Make a deal, or we’ll just keep blowing them away." Mar 27: "We don’t have to be there for NATO."
