##asktwitter i just had a old person moment and forgot to put my triclopyr in.
Its got glyphosate, 24d, 5 grams of ally. Still work or go back over with it
@TimArthur18 Makes me think ur getting too much straw into the mills. May depend on machine and mill type but chaff is not normally green if it’s harvestable. You don’t want straw into the mills.
@RyanT027 Anything with a bit of green in it, lentils milk thistle etc, bridges the mills then fills up back to front. Even conditions of high moisture/humidity have caused it too
After unblocking the rear of my header again in first ten minutes of starting today, had me questioning how many HWS mill owners would buy another? I’m four years in and nearly had enough
@TajHasson Nah u won’t twist them. I Have shifted them a bunch. Just stay on flat ground and don’t do it on a windy day and it will be no worries at all.
Does anyone have an experience/tips on moving silos from pad to pad with a loader and some long long pallet fork extensions?
Also hearing of the 12mm galv blocks for easing silos off the pad- has anyone installed any under exists silos?
Am I the only farmer that’s had a Fkn guts full of salesmen turning up unannounced? Even when told to make an appointment many times! If I want something. I’ll Fkn buy it.
Ever wondered what PRE herbicide could be used under chicory or plantain to control weeds. Here a list of few options below that may suit (mainly for grasses). Arcade 3L is the one for plantain (and not for chicory)! Otherwise the usual propyzamide + Spinnaker. 1st photo UTC
@therealfarmagro Fitted same system this year. Doing same job as urs. But running thru Apollo not jd. Working fine. Sounds like the setting for the reg valve could be wrong. If running hypro pump only need 20-25lts of oil flow.
Harvest 2024 is completed and assigned to the record books after all the rain, harvest bans and fires. Our biggest production year on a very dry spring and below average rainfall. Cereal yields were exceptional, canola and lupins above average. Quality surprisingly held up well.
@RyanT027@Ashley_Jacobs92@mark_mudie@GribbleRC We still have dust stick to muffler but the surface of the muffler, and more importantly the turbo, doesn’t get hot enough to create ignition
@trout_86@Ashley_Jacobs92@S_M_Bowman@mark_mudie@GribbleRC The chrome coloured coating that was used worked on the exhaust pipe. But the muffler was too big to fit in the machine they use. So it got a different ceramic coating that was black. If u could get the chrome finish on the muffler it may well work.
@Ashley_Jacobs92@S_M_Bowman@mark_mudie@GribbleRC Later models have a different design muffler. More Flow through design. Possibly help stops the hot spots? That on the 230s get. Ceramic coated ours this year but coating was still too porous and dust still sticks.
@Howelly_Agro First year trying. I’m 40.5 so getting a contractor not to put another set of tracks in is nigh on impossible. Plane next year if this doesn’t work
@RowAstbury@MurrayWatt They always have! Always will. But this new level of disdain by the labour government is what happens when decisions are made without checks and balances. No consequences to them for poor and outright wrong policy!
I can’t get my head around how the federal ag minister @MurrayWatt can have such a detrimental impact to the industry he is supposed to be helping! As the minister for agriculture isn’t it his job to help agriculture not hinder it! 🤷🏻♂️ #Notforagminister
