Anyone entertaining the idea? Be cheaper than diesel at the bowser and it’s available! Might cause some issues on newer common rail engines but a mix of refined Diesel and biofuel would take a bit of pressure off supplies. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What does everyone like for reliable bin full sensors? These are fine but I’d like to have something I can wire alarms and shutoff on to avoid overfilling if someone isn’t watching

@RowAstbury Currently have too much sheep feed. Maybe cut it for hay. Or wean stud lambs into there in Nov.

Trialling 0 spacing barley, wheat vetch combo in the feedlot. roughly, 1t vetch, 300kg wheat, 300kg barley and 400kg dapszc per ha. sown 15th July. Growing conditions have been great.

@RowAstbury we spread the wheat, vetch and dap.(cleaned out all the old seed and fert from the shed at end of seeding) we did three laps with the seeder at 100kg barley to clean that out at end of seeding.

@MerinoSi Safety chain to the rescue. 👍 Like your snorkel! Did similar, but not as tall, with a chonda for agitation. Lasted for ages!

@RowAstbury Yeah it’s weird, we have DBS here and you have equilizer there 🤣. We have about half DBS and half equilizer and a few other machines in between.

@hasselljpb It’s tragic, and a bit strange that so many farmers seem to have never heard of floods, weather warnings, extreme weather events, flood mitigation measures. Flat country where floodwater has nowhere to go. What do rural people expect?

This is tragic. Many thousands of head of livestock washed away.
