Vancouver, CN - No to Canada If they were going to add 2 teams, I'd probably go with Nashville and either Salt Lake City or Charlotte.

Breaking: No school on May 1 for most Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools students. The CMS Board is designating May 1 as an optional teacher workday. The day will not be made up because CMS still exceeds the legally required number of instructional hours. As of 6 a.m., 1,934 teachers called out for May 1. The typical Friday last year saw 449 absences.
This was the last day CMS is able to waive for students before it will need to be made up. But CMS does have one more remote day in their arsenal that they can deploy if needed.
The recommendation does not include a change to the CPCC and UNC Charlotte Early and Middle College academic calendars because exams are scheduled on these days.

Who supported Rama Duwaji before she married Zohran Mamdani ? She obviously wasn’t living an impoverished lifestyle. Also curious if she lived off the many social welfare freebies that NYC offers those living below the poverty limit. 🤔

City Hall has released Mayor Zohran Mamdani's 2025 tax return, filed jointly with his wife, First Lady Rama Duwaji. The return shows they made $144,784 in joint gross income. Duwaji, a visual artist, only pulled in $10,010 of that, the return shows.

I'm at the MPTA retreat. The MPTA is discussing the Silver Line and ways to get the light rail closer to Matthews. An engineering firm studying the Silver Line's design is recommending consolidating the Remount/Berryhill stations, eliminating the Summit and First Ward stations, moving the 11th Street station and shifting the Bojangles Coliseum station from in front of the arena to near the highway. Even with all of these changes though, there is not enough money to expand to Sharon Amity Road, let alone Matthews.

NEW: DHS confirms to @FoxNews that the suspect accused of stabbing a man on the Charlotte light rail yesterday is a 2x previously deported Honduran illegal alien with a lengthy criminal history in the U.S.
OSCAR GERARDO SOLARZANO-GARCIA was deported by the Trump admin in March 2018 on a deportation order, and he illegally re-entered the U.S. at the Texas border in March 2021.
He was deported a second time by the Biden admin, and illegally re-entered the U.S. after that at an unknown time & location as a gotaway.
He has prior convictions in the U.S. for robbery and illegal re-entry, and he has prior arrests in the U.S. for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and false ID.
He is now charged with attempted murder for the stabbing, and ICE has placed a detainer on him with local law enforcement in Charlotte.
