@northumbrian_ @KEdge23 Means test the state pension. Abolish the NHS. Cap unemployment benefits at 6 months. Return failed asylum seekers within 7 days. Scrap HS2. Plenty of ways the government could do it.

@jasen_stanbury @KEdge23 Well I’m not worse off, but certainly not better off. He had to introduce stealth taxes because he ruled out those main taxes. He probably should have just said, “yes we will raise taxes because I want to spend more on public services”
