@Proton_Pass No extensions they weaken browser security. Just use brave.
English

Your 2FA shouldn't come with an *asterisk* ❌
So you set up a strong password then added Google Authenticator for 2FA. It feels secure.
But if cloud sync is on, your OTP secrets sit on Google's servers with no end-to-end encryption. Security researchers confirmed it in 2023 and Google has yet to fix it. 🤷♂️

English

@EarlBrown6969 @Opportunitweet Never use sms for 2fa. Its weak security for one and second the issues u face if your a victim of a sim swap. Yet banks use it ffs. Use authenticator app or better a security key.
English

@Opportunitweet I like having the ability to use my email address over waiting for snail mail.
BUT the cell phone thing has me pissed off. I got a new number due to T-Mobile's screw up I can't get into my Amazon or instagram account. That fucking 2FA shouldn't stop me from proving I'm me.
English

@RobertJALA @chancla4u @Opportunitweet Thats why u use a different email alias for each web site. Easier to see which company has been breached then just create a new one for that site. The idea of being allocated a single email address is stupid from both a security and privacy point.
English

@chancla4u @Opportunitweet You are under the impression you have privacy at all now?
English

@Littlebit1610 @ThrillaRilla369 This applies if you pay by monthly installments which is classed as a lone. It costs you more to to it this way so you should pay in full anyway.
English

@ThrillaRilla369 Car insurance rates are based on your credit score. What does one have to do with the other? My insurance is auto debited so its always paid on time with no missed payments. But not having credit raises car insurance premiums regardless of your driving record. Makes no sense!
English

@BluJay72551691 @ThrillaRilla369 The only good use for credit agencies is so u can monitor for fraud. But the biggest fraudsters are them. Makes me laugh how many scams and id theft gets through their so called checks and security.
English

@ThrillaRilla369 I had two credit card companies canceled me because I paid the cards off every month I guess they weren’t making any money. I don’t give a fuck about Experian and whoever the fuck else runs your credit. suck my ass.
English

@snarkyman @ThrillaRilla369 Always use ur credit card but always stay within 1-25% of the credit limit and pay off in full every month. Score will be high
English

@ThrillaRilla369 Mine fell 40pts when I paid off my mortgage. I found a trick to a higher score. My only debt is my credit card. Find the bill closing date, pay off all but about $100 a few days before the date, and pay off the rest before the bill is due—lower reported credit used=higher score.
English

@kimkayway76 @ThrillaRilla369 The key is have and use a credit card, always use 1-25% of the limit every month and always pay it in full. If u have no loans just bank account, mortgage and c card and use the card this will take your score max or to close to it. U should only use a c card online anyway.
English

@ThrillaRilla369 I don't have a credit score because I own everything I have and I don't get loans. Now I have a hell of a time getting approved for things that require a good credit score simply because I don't have debt under my name.
English

@Dr_Bekka_UK @PlayStation @Sony Then use a phone number? Idk why you’re all crying about ID shit when it literally gives you the option to use a phone number. Which 99% of players have for 2FA anyway
English

Sony locking paid features behind an ID wall is a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Rejecting PAYG and certain IDs also violates the Equality Act 2010 by excluding marginalised players. We bought a service, not a digital surveillance state. @PlayStation @Sony #PS5
Dr_Rebecca@Dr_Bekka_UK
So, @PlayStation is basically unusable for me now. The UK Online Safety Act means I have to hand over a face scan or government ID just to use basic features. My PAYG mobile isn't accepted, and I’m not giving biometrics to a company with a history of massive data breaches. #Ps5
English

@Dr_Bekka_UK @PlayStation @Sony A simple credit card check is all that should be needed. Proves you are over 18. If you have used it in your account or have it saved they already know your an adult. No other method needed unless you dont have a credit card.

I see this question a lot, so Brave stable (red one) is what 99% of our users are using, it just works
Brave Nightly (purple one) is the one I work on, it has experimental features, bunch of cool stuff that we are working on that might eventually end up in stable if the feedback is positive
I do not recommend using Nightly as a daily driver, but you can and if you do, you can tag me and let me know what you think of it ^^

I've never used the Purple Brave Browser, what's it used for ?

@MartinSLewis @itvMLshow Investigate what the hell CAPITA have done with the civil service pensions. Absolutely shocking. They prove time and time again they ruin every government contract they get. Corrupt to the core.
