I've had the privilege of watching world class players (or borderline) play for my club. So even when we were shit I'd regularly be entertained, whether it be moments of individual brilliance or winning games we weren't expected to win.
Well, now we're shit without any players that are on this calibre. Games are a chore to watch, there's no one we can pin our hopes on to give us hope. We now have 10X the expectation from both inside the fanbase in the media since I started watching as a kid. Being thrashed in big games could kind of be swept under the rug 15 years ago, not now. And winning them? It was the best feeling on earth.

Say all you want but we are watching the long shadow of Daniel Levy’s endless austerity unfolding before our eyes. I’d have setup like this too, but we just don’t have the players. Most players we signed in the last 20 years were good deals from money strapped clubs or gambles, Arsenal went and spent £100m to fix a midfield problem and ditched their keeper Ramsdale when Levy would have kept him.
Zero desire to actually compete from the top. Huge 2 transfer windows ahead for the Lewis family.

This result isn’t particularly important it’s the micky mouse cup. But generally speaking this is the least engaged I’ve been with Tottenham in an extremely long time.
Absolutely nothing about this team excites me, the footballs bland and whenever we do play well, we get 10+ injuries.
There isn’t an ounce of individual quality in the way we had with Kane and Son which could inspire a game or give us belief.
Even the shit players that kept things mildly amusing in bad times like Emerson and Bryan Gil are gone.
Really really struggling to care at the moment it’s just incredibly dull
