Finding a domain name is a nightmare. You brainstorm ideas, check availability, often for hours. So I built @NameGPTcom to fix this. NameGPT uses LLMs to generate high-quality domain ideas & instantly checks social handle availability. Try for free: namegpt.co

After an incredible year I’ve wrapped up my time at Vercel, in that time among other things I worked on: - Launching the fastest domains search on the web - Overhauling our domains registrar service to allow us to offer more domains at a lower cost - Launching Vercel for Platforms formalizing the patterns for our largest customers to build on our services - Revamping core pages like the project domains page enabling them to scale to thousands of domains I got to work with so many incredible people and learn a ton. It's my favorite group of people I've ever worked with, stay tuned for whats next 👀

Some pretty eye-opening data on the effect of AI coding. When Cursor added agentic coding in 2024, adopters produced 39% more code merges, with no sign of a decrease in quality (revert rates were the same, bugs dropped) and no sign that the scope of the work shrank. Big impact.

previously this UI only told you 'Your domain might be live in 4 hours' now you get estimates based on historical data for how long it took each TLD to come online, no more guessing or thinking things might be broken for slow to propagate tlds

@PocketAces84 @calebturner23 @Thuuz i need to improve the algo to fix this clustering effect. rn it’s just score + time remaining + betting odds + minor weights. need to make it smarter in my next rev

@SA @calebturner23 @Thuuz Looks promising but why are all of the games rated in the 80s and 90s? Today's game between the Royals and White Sox is rated a 91. Royals are 3 games out of a Wild Card spot and the White Sox are the second worse team in the league.

It was great. I used a now-offline app called Thuuz for years that would give every game a live “excitement score,” and the League Pass Menu was the closest I’ve gotten to that since. Thanks 🙏

hope everyone enjoyed the new "League Pass Menu" project this season. those things took me between 15-45 minutes to make every single day depending on the slate size. 153 of them, sometimes due at the buttcrack of dawn because of a 9 AM PT tip.

@giansegato This is also why so many people describe vibe coding as so addicting. The variable reward is both frustrating and exciting.

published a new essay on my blog! "Building AI products in the Probabilistic Era" admittedly it's a very long one (took months to write), but i've tried to condense everything i learned while working on one of the most popular and influential AI products in the world turned up to be almost an argument for why i'm an AI maximalist. an exploration of the epistemological change we're going through as an industry - going from the deterministic nature of traditional software, to the weird uncertainty principle of stochastic models very much like 15 years ago we came up with a new way of running companies on the internet ("product led growth"), building and growing AI apps requires its own whole new discipline (dropping link below to please the twitter algo gods)

Not easy to do. Extremely impressive use of the @namedotcom api. Buying all the Replit stock.
Jason ✨👾SaaStr.Ai✨ Lemkin@jasonlk

Kudos to @Replit for building the world’s simplest domain registration process Fast, easy, slick In 60 seconds, you have you domain, and it’s 100% hooked up to your site, automatically This is the “thick wrapper” stuff that adds huge value When everything just works. Vibe coding isn’t quite there yet. But it’s getting closer every day.
