SA Branch is please to announce that we, together with the Young in Soil and Earth Science Society (YiSES) is sending NINE students across TWO teams to the New Zealand Soil Judging Competition in November! Soil Judging Competition (soilscience.org.nz), More to come!

With understanding comes with an ability to sustain this incredible resource, so that soil can continue to be the foundation of all food production, ecosystems and of human health. Thanks to our speakers and to @EhsanTavakkoli for organizing this great event

The talks were ideally suited to the theme of World Soil Day 2023 - a source of life! The visualization of the ‘black box’ of soils is a powerful step forward in our understanding of so many of the processes within soils.

To celebrate World Soils Day, the @UniofAdelaide and @SASoilScience held a seminar series with colleagues from the University of Nottingham - Prof Sacha Mooney, Dr. Craig Sturrock and Dr. Hannah Cooper on the application of X-ray computed tomography in soil and plant science.

@SASoilScience @SoilScienceAust back at #scienceAlive today and this weekend! Kids get the chance to make a clay bolus, look at different soil colours and make landscapes with the our #ARsandbox! We love this event - such a brilliant event for hands on #science and #soilscience!
