Everyone knows the Crump Cup is the GOAT of mid-am golf. One of the coolest parts of the event comes after a player gets knocked out or doesn’t qualify: they’re entered into an alternate-shot competition and paired up as a team. It’s a fun tradition that builds real camaraderie among the players.

@GSV_STL I have many friends at MSHSAA, and this is not a shot at them. We are not rewarding schools for excellence, we are like - you get a final four, now you get one. If this rule was so good, why doesn't it exist with all schools. Its playing politics, not athletics!!

@GSV_STL Many good schools are already "Penalized" with doubling the enrollment. While I agree playing the correct competition, this comes to scheduling in the season. The idea of post season is finding out who is the best in your class (size) and this actually is the opposite of that.

It’s one of the best things MSHSAA has ever done. Forces good private school programs to play around their level of talent which is what anybody should aspire to do if they can. Strengthen competition in the larger classes and makes things better for Classes 1-3.

@GSV_STL Love trying to predict future success and athletic ability on past success and different kids - makes complete sense, so move them up - just dumb imho!!

St. Pius X will be bumped up to Class 3 for at least the next five years because they got three points for finishing in 2nd place which moves them up on class.
