@CarefreeCahill_ @BergerBrakes @henrywinter He doesn't anymore. Burn is a borderline liability at LB due to lack of mobility and technical quality in build up. Fine with him as a CB option - for me he's a higher level than Maguire over last 2 years. Whether Quansah or Stones are is a different issue.

Blown away Lewis Hall hadn’t made the squad last night, and with each player picked ‘ahead’ of him I get more confused. England suffered at the Euros because their entire left side always had to check back onto their right foot, how many natural left backs have we got this time?

@SBru77 He did, but that’s partly the point. He hasn’t worked enough with Tuchel to get his place. Others moved above him in the pecking order. Looks like he’s prioritised those that have been in more squads.

Lewis Hall wasn’t picked in August, October or November. He was picked in February when even Barnes was picked and 35 men were called up. This isn’t a massive surprise and definitely nothing to do with Howe. #nufc

@htomufc John Stones and Dan Burn are both better centre halves than Maguire in 2026. Maguire is a head on a stick only at this point.

So… Konsa, Guehi, Colwill and WHO. Because I promise you they won’t be better than Maguire. Don’t like that decision.

Morgan Gibbs-White has to be in the England squad named on Friday. He’s the most in form No.10 & has a connection with Elliot Anderson that is unlike many others in the PL.
