Today is my 10 year anniversary of building node systems for Blender. We've come a long way! My journey started 2014 with #AnimationNodes. 2018 I started working for Blender and 2020 we gathered a team to build #GeometryNodes. #b3d

I love doing things other than 3D on #blender3D #geometrynodes, is that bad? 😅

@willanderson_ Love it. Is it real time or is the sound pre-recorded?

We just added OSC sending from the Sonògraf. We can capture this OSC anywhere and drive external synthesizers with the drawing data! In the example, playing Vital VST through @cycling74 max/msp. Looking forward to present all this at @GeorgiaTech Guthman competition!

@marcinignac @nodes_io Thank you very much 🙏
I found this one but it was just a simple try : threegn.app

ThreeJS is vanilla JS library for WebGL. Nodes is more of interface for combining pieces of code together. We use pex-renderer/pex-context for WebGL although using ThreeJS is possible even if not straightforward. There were many attempts at making ThreeJS visual programming environments but not sure if anything is used in real projects.

Tool aesthetic. Big part of the joy of using @nodes_io is the amount of effort we've put into making things sleek, coherent, readable and minimalistic. So focus is on art and algorithms. It's a daily struggle and fight towards balance between usability and feature bloat.

@marcinignac @nodes_io 👏 Marcin, just one question: what is the difference between Threejs and Nodes_io? (Interface aside)(maybe noob question sorry but I'm hesitating between both (I need to get back to the web browser after testing #b3d #geometrynodes) thanks. 🙌
