I’m grateful for the hospital staff who did everything they could and the NYPD for their ongoing work to find those responsible for this heinous murder. We cannot accept this violence as normal. But this world runs on a petrol-economy for the foreseeable future. The Middle East matters for now.
IF our neighbors and allies increased their oil production, we'd wouldn't give a damn. But I don't see that happening any time soon.

@SCDawgin @drpezeshkian Israelis actually don't like Americans. There is footage of Netanyahu and others saying the quiet part out loud. They've harmed us many times over the years. I would prefer if we stayed out of the ME altogether as it's brought nothing but death and debt for us.

@patriotpirate57 @drpezeshkian The Israelis don't chant "Death to . . .". Whether we like it or not, this country has provided stability to the world since WWII. And the biggest threat to that stability has been Iran for 40 years. Invading Iraq was asinine, but eliminating Iran's nuclear capability is sound.

Israel has nukes, and have vocally stated their willingness to use them if they thought they were losing. We don't have to agree on all points of course, but the amount of people attacking me over a comment wishing for peace is telling. I am not pro Iran or any other country outside of my own. I just don't want to see more war after growing up with several essentially back to back. Especially when it isn't neccessary and isn't our business.

@patriotpirate57 @drpezeshkian The Islamists were already killing protestors by the thousands in Iran. The last thing the Middle East needed was a theocratic dictatorship on the verge of collapse with ballistic missiles and enriched uranium. Even if the IRGC didn't have a nuke, it had a dirty bomb.

But the Islamists running Iran were going to kill the Israelis and then more Sunnis as soon as they could. This will also crush the militias around Israel.
