Y’all have to watch this. It got MESSY between Texas Tech and Florida’s softball teams at the Women’s College World Series. Jason Williams’ daughter used to play for Florida before she transferred to TX Tech. Things got ugly. 👀👀

@OffyUnfiltered @NoahB77_ See, i struggle with this one. I know he veers his body off to the side, but with the slide, his hands never get outside of 3 feet from the start of the tag. Is the “3 foot rule” based on the core of the body, last step, etc? I don’t think there’s any way I rule this out of BL

The 45-foot rule does NOT apply here. Only a throw from the home-plate area triggers that. The runner must yield to a fielder playing a batted ball. Once a fielder attempts a tag—draw a line from the runner’s location directly to the base. A 3-foot+ deviation triggers the out.
Noah Bieniek (Bee-Nick)@NoahB77_

This call killed a rally in a conference tournament championship game. Helluva bunt from James Love and a great job to avoid the tag. Based on how I understand the 45-foot rule, runners lane, and basepaths I believe this is the incorrect call. A hitter must remain in the runners lane UNTIL his final stride. Eastern Illinois would have had runners on first and second with nobody out. EIU did not score a run in the inning.

On today’s show, we drafted the best college quarterbacks since 2000. I think I won. What do you think?

@BudElliott3 After being independent forever, Pitt won their first outright conference championship in 2021 with a Heisman finalist and Biletnikoff award winner. We as a fanbase was told it didn’t mean anything because we lost to Miami 38-34.

I bet Booger and LSU celebrated going to the Peach Bowl in 1996 with a 10-2 record and a No. 17 ranking like crazy because back then ESPN wasn't there to tell them that their season was meaningless because they didn't make the playoffs. In 1997, nobody was telling his LSU squad, which lost two games by less than a touchdown and had a win over the number one Florida Gators, that their season was a failure. They were excited for their bowl game. That was an excellent season. We used to recognize that. But if Booger played today, he'd be told those seasons don't matter because they didn't make the playoffs. This is what I'm talking about in terms of what we've lost in a sport with the focus on such a narrowly drawn playoff.

@ClintRLamb Wasn’t Miami down to their like 3rd and 4th best CBs in the title game? Players get hurt in games no matter who the competition is.

Probably why Kirby, Saban and others in the SEC keep harping on the depth changes over the 5-10 years ago. When they had depth, they could better withstand the season-long beating, which just made them battle tested w/out the tradeoff of being more beat up w/limited depth that’s *ready* to contribute. Would be worth looking into, but it’s theoretically possible that both statements are/were true.
Bud Elliott@BudElliott3

When the SEC was winning, the rest of the sport was told it was because how battle tested they were. Now that they aren’t, the same thing is spun into an excuse.

The contrast between Jeff Goodman discussing Nate Oats and the Bediako situation versus how he addressed Wade is, um, something…

But man, you suck for college basketball right now. You're making it into a mockery. Look in the mirror and understand it's not just about you" 🎥: youtu.be/0UXt6yyUhOY

But he made the correct decision going off the current laws of the game. Was Mbeumo the one who scored? No Was the hand ball accidental? Yes Did the ball hit another part of his body first before hitting his arm? Yes All 3 things means the goal correctly stood

Michael woke up this morning and thought, ‘I’m gonna be the first ref to stick with my decision and not be influenced by VaR’. Which would’ve been commendable. Had he not chosen an absolute stone wall handball to disagree with 🙄 #NFFC

I’m not even joking when I say that Alexis MacAllister deserves a red card for this. He’s lying and trying to get someone else sent off. Not to mention how embarrassing it is, but it’s a trend that needs to stop. Make an example and it will. x.com/Adeyemi_AFC/st…
