@Steelers_DB Wholio was a good player but was never close to AB. Hilarious that anyone ever even made it a discussion

fuck this team and fuck the fanbase too. Such a shitty pick this guy wasn’t even worth a top 30 pick. this team has two glorified wr2s, in 2 years pittma and DK will be washed and they’ll have no one to play WR, this fanbase will still sell out tickets to watch the same shitty mismanaged team

@Steelers_DB I honestly think he needs to get leaner again and stick to the finesse side. I know power ages better but felt he lost agility beefing up

@jack_sperry Much rather have him develop behind Rodgers with McCarthy than Will Howard from a tools and age perspective. The age is something that will be desired by May teams

Something that has surprised me a bit watching Drew Allar’s tape, even going back to the 2024 season, is the lack of WR talent on the perimeter at Penn State. You’d think they’d be stacked given the hype around that program, but it was the opposite. Defenses were consistently just putting clamps on those dudes in man and Allar would consistently need to either A. Find a way to create out of structure or B. Find Tyler Warren (and that option wasn’t there last season). The playcalling certainly didn’t do him any favors, either IMO. Allar needs to clean up his footwork because it’s clearly been affecting his accuracy to all 3 levels of the field, but that’s something that is considered to be very coachable at the next level especially if he gets the time to sit and develop in the first year of his career & goes to a team with a proper QB developer with a specialty in drilling QB fundamentals (like Mike McCarthy for example). From what I can tell, Allar processes defenses quickly, can operate full-field progressions, has natural out of structure playmaking instincts & pocket presence, throws with anticipation, and obviously has that tremendous arm talent to pair with all of that. Omar Khan says the Steelers are searching for an ‘AFC North QB’, and Allar certainly fits that mold. In my opinion there’s enough there to spend a day 2 pick on him in the right situation. Makes a lot of sense for Pittsburgh in Round 3, particularly if Rodgers is returning.

@WordOnTheBirds @billbarnwell Lmao this is ridiculous. Herbig is an elite edge, I’d be starting the conversation at a 1st round pick especially when looking at his age. I’d rather trade watt away though

@Steelers_DB Lol they would’ve never traded for Minkah if Ben didn’t go down though so they wouldn’t have been as good as what we saw

Steve was a good signing for them, still think they should have kept him over Haden in 2021. The 2019 defense was probably Tomlin's best post-SB, partially because they had to be. The offense couldn't function that year. It would have been cool to see it all come together but that's just sports luck sometimes.

Revisionist history to rile up the masses. The Steelers paid Ben his final contract following the 2018 season when he was still playing at a top-5 level. There was no way to predict that he was going to shatter his elbow 6 quarters into the next season or the salary cap declining afterwards because of COVID.
STEVE NELSON@EquitybyNelson

Why the Pittsburgh Steelers organization got sabotaged by one individual! The 2019 -2020 defense was elite ! We had something special but the organization chose mediocrity. #mytruth #steelerbidness #nfl

@SFLOutdoorsman @JN_Steve_ Lol then tell us why they listened to anything Ben asked for? What Ben did was a whole lot worse than what Bell did, despite him being a QB and Bell being a RB. I don’t care, when a guy is playing at HoF level for you, you find a way to keep him

@Alex_Kozora Lol it did not go 0 to 60 for those who objectively looked at Ben. I remember when AB was losing it, he said some things about Ben in public and a group of guys came out and defended/supported that. Problem was that AB the messenger so wasn’t taken seriously. He ain’t the only 1

I don't have much reaction to Joey Porter Sr.'s comments of Ben Roethlisberger. I'm just not sure how it got started - what did Ben say to prompt Porter's strong reaction? Feels like this went from 0-60 in a hurry. #Steelers

Indiana WR Omar Cooper winning on the sail route by selling the over with his eyes before the sudden transition back outside. Very nuanced route runner that's consistently getting guys turned around at the break point. Immediate contributor in the slot/flanker role in the NFL.
