ARe all of your customer service centers in places affected by the hurricane? @BofA_Help ? I have a problem that a bot can't help, and all the numbers I call say "due to unforeseen circumstances no one is available to help." Am wondering when I should try again.

@1RealworldTruth @Acyn Honest question since my daughter was stuck in the Twin Cities at the time. What would you do? Coming down harder could have led to more violence. It was a very volatile situation, and I don't think anyone knows what the best thing to do in the moment would have been.

@mjburke2020 @LousyLibrarian Sometimes I wonder what compels people to become library trustees. One of ours complained that under a proposal for a change in hours branches would be open at different times from one another. Which they have ALWAYS been.

@LousyLibrarian Bad library moment: I had a library trustee ask, "Is fiction the real or the not real stuff?" She had come to the library for a trustee's meeting in PJ bottoms & flipflops.

"I just want to browse some books." "Okay. Did you want fiction or non-fiction?" "Oh, I hate fiction. I like facts. I can't even get through a page of fiction, but I'll read facts all day long regardless of whether they're true or not."

@LousyLibrarian Not the DVD collection, at least in my city. I am constantly seeing people looking for DVDs for their kids in my city because they can't afford our exorbitant internet rates.

I'm sorry if it's tasteless but my coworkers and I are making bets on which is going to die first: our music CD collection, our DVD collection, or our audiobook CD collection. Hoping to underwrite my retirement with my winnings.

Protests and disruptions at Masses are always and everywhere wrong. I heard of one recently at a Jesuit parish. That goes if you're an LGBTQ activist protesting or a "rad trad" protesting. And it especially goes for Catholics protesting at Masses, which to me is close to unthinkable. Always and everywhere wrong.

@JoashPThomas I laughed out loud at this becasue I grew up near the Patriots stadium and the way my family feels about the Patriots is similar to the way they feel about the church - they can bring us great joy but can also be a real pain.

To whom it may concern: Saying critical things of the American white evangelical church is not “attacking the Church”. That’s like saying, “Criticizing the New England Patriots is attacking professional sports.” It’s not. Unless of course you think the New England Patriots represent all of professional sports. In which case, you’re already in deep trouble.
