An elderly Hispanic woman in my community—sweet, hardworking, and doesn’t speak great English—came to me for help purchasing a home close to her grandkids. A situation completely beyond her control left a tiny $10 balance on her credit card she paid off with Bank of America. Now they’ve reported her late, tanking her score and derailing her dream. Multiple calls later, and all they say is “dispute it with the credit bureaus.” Heartbreaking. This is the same Bank of America that received hundreds of billions in government bailouts with taxpayer money. Yet they can’t show basic compassion for a vulnerable senior who did nothing wrong? She’s done everything right her whole life, just wants to be near family, and now this? Banks like this should do better for our elders, especially those facing language barriers. If you’re at @BankofAmerica or know someone who can help escalate this, please reach out. Stories like hers remind us why we fight for fair treatment. @BankofAmerica I always appreciate your fraud alerts and protection algorithms. Usually less than a 5 min call to rectify. Today I’ve been on the phone with 5 different people for 1+ hours - And nothing I can’t buy lunch because you’ve shut me down. You need to do better

@BankofAmerica Why have you made it so difficult to dispute a credit card transaction? After jumping through all the hoops online, you let the user know that online disputing is “temporarily” unavailable. “Temporary” has been at least a month.

@BofA_Help BOA has to be the worst customer service for a Bank or any major organization I’ve ever experienced in the last 25 years. You can’t reach anybody when you go into a branch the agents don’t understand basic transactions and communication skills are bad.

@BankofAmerica You can't put a fraud hold on my card for something I ALREADY said was legit, and then demand I have TO CALL you, and then make me wait on hold for hours. You know that normal people can't sit on hold for 6 hours right? You can't put a hold on people's ability to pay their bills and then not give them a reasonable recourse to fix the issue (that isn't even an issue, it's one YOU are creating) I have been a BOA customer for 21 years and the misery you are putting your customers through is VILE.

After nearly 20 yrs with @BankofAmerica they have shutdown my credit card without notice. I will be switching all of my banking to another bank. These fraudulent bankers cannot be trusted.
