@AdamMeakins In defence of Mr Poulter, medical science has no idea how Paracetamol works, but it’s widely used. We only know, that it works 😳🤪🤷♂️
English

Just imagine applying this logic in any other aspect of healthcare! We don’t need to know HOW it works, just IF it works! 😳🤪🤦♂️

@AdamMeakins I don't think any of us can claim to know for sure how MWMs work, but the important thing is not how they work but whether they work. And whilst they don't work on everyone, you're failing your patients if you don't even try them due to having qualms about mechanism of effect.

@SDSnape I’ve always had a heart rate around 138/140 which I can’t explain why it’s lower than yours? I find it allows me to recover quickly which means I can keep a reasonable pace over a long distance.

Sitting on the doorstep contemplating the last 2 years. From 20st to 13.5st, from unable to run a bath, to running marathons and loving every bloody step of it. 2021 is going to be insane, being fitter, stronger and more determined everyday. Age is not valid excuse btw! #run 🏃🏼♂️

@LeeSPerry And also looking at your HR, it is steady at 133-140 where mines like 165-170. Was yours that high at the beginning?
English

@SDSnape I was after a consistent pace and stable heart rate through out and achieved that. I wanted to average sub 8:30 min miles. Hills to deal with round here, this covered 771’ of elev gain. So overall, pleased 👍🏼🏃🏼♂️

@LeeSPerry In my 20/30’s could run 8 min mile pace, but feel stuck !
English

@LeeSPerry Thanks for your reply. I meant at the beginning of your weight loss journey. I’m 52, crept up to 19st 10 and started the C25K. Finished that and now running 3 miles 3 times a week. Weight down to 18st, and plateaued. Running 11 minute miles, but feel ridiculous at this pace.
