71 today. I was 34, in 1989, when I first opened Teachers Billiards. I didn’t like punching a clock, working for someone else, so I took a chance on turning my hobby into a business. The slow start was scary. But it lasted 34 years. In 2004, I was 50 when I started trying to duplicate Bonds in my basement. I was 62 when I first met Aaron Judge. I was 6, almost 7, when Roger Maris hit 61 for the Yankees. I was almost 68 when Aaron hit 62 for the Yankees. Had a nice dinner with my wife, sons, their wives and daughters last night. Look at those granddaughters. ❤️❤️. My daughter Britney lives in Montana. Got cards from her family. I’m definitely in the 4th quarter. Maybe at the 2 minute warning. Dr says everything looks good. One more echo is scheduled then yearly visits. I swing every day when I’m home. That’s the only way to learn. I can still beat all but the HLP trained in the Command drill. 🙂 Judy still has no chance. 🙂. He’s scared.

@nextlevelbb Absolutely he should be playing. The criminals walk all the time with nothing more than a Slap on the wrist for evil deeds. Trevor did nothing illegal. Consensual, private stuff…brought into to the public’s eye unfortunately.

Discussion. Trevor Bauer is worth 30 million a year. He is willing to play for the league minimum. Over a 29 million dollar discount. He was accused of terrible things and exonerated. A lot of publications clearly state the accuser lied. He has maintained his innocence. He may have (I don't know) made bad decisions off the field but has not been found guilty. Does he deserve another chance?

I usually give most away to my softball team but couldn’t this year. Next year…it is all out war with the critters. PS, i just ordered the book.

@RealTimmyMac @ChefGruel I haven’t opened mine yet. I have watched many youtube videos how to “easily” get the seeds out but nothing seems easy when I try it.

@SD_DDMD @ChefGruel Thank you, sent me on the right path. Spinach, kale, 1/2 apple, water & ice, frozen apricots slices and the icing on the cake, pomegranate seeds, all from our garden into the vitamixer.. Pom seeds get grinded down and taste is outstanding. U r helping me get healthy!!!!👊

Have two pomegranate trees, both young but producing this year. This is from 3 fruits, more on the way. ⁦⁦@ChefGruel⁩ you have any cool ways we can use these? Love the flavor, we can juice em but figured I should ask the expert!!

@SD_DDMD @ChefGruel Same battle I wage w/ my fruit trees, traps, chicken wire, using all, seems to work some, blueberry bushes r their favorites even used some netting this year and seemed to work but still lose many battles, haha. Think wife is gonna try blender tmrw w. protein shake. Thank you

@RealTimmyMac @ChefGruel I bought old school traps, electric traps, pepper spray. I wrapped each pomegranate in an old moving blanket that they chewed through (use felt next time). The only kill is when I threw a rock at a rat and hit him off a palm tree for my german shepherd to get.

@patricktehan @pobguy That was my main point I was trying to make. You can have a relatively very large bat AA and still hit it in the air. That wasn’t the reason the ball was hit down. (But I see he used the AA in conjunction with offset and “squarely hit” was defined differently than I would)

Lots of interesting physics here. Note that upward trajectory of bat at contact is at a steeper angle than downward angle of pitch. Therefore despite squared up contact, batted ball goes down.

@pobguy I hate that I added that “regardless part”. But yeah, I guess the only issue is the definition of “squarely hit”. If the definition is related to offset only I get it. But pragmatically, I tend to define it as perfectly hit which of course takes into account matching AA/DA

The launch angle depends on the collision point (aka offset), the attack angle of bat, and descent angle of ball. Offset here is close to 0, which I refer to as squared up. But bat trajectory passes above center of ball.

@jacklambert__ All I know is if you hack down at the ball you create backspin, which helps carry it out of the park.

Assuming the ball is >80% squared up, what is an ideal attack angle?
