Many thanks to our funder's @PostcodeLottery for supporting our cause to help improve wellbeing and social connection through sporting activies. Our Men's Group took up swimming lessons and yesterday played padel. The Women are at the gym, lifting weights, heavy ones at that!

Thrilled that SEMDC has won the SAMEE Award for Supporting Inclusive Learning for our Healthy Deaf Minds Project (funded by Henry Duncan Grants @corrascot ) The award was accepted by representatives of our staff & Trustees. Thanks @sameegroup for a truly wonderful evening😃

We had an absolutely fantastic night at the BDA event on Saturday night. Wonderful night of awards and celebrations. And we are very proud to have been recognised for the amazing work we do here SEMDC.

@corrascot Thank you for taking the time to visit us. Our Healthy Deaf Minds project has mad such a positive impact on the members of the community. Increased confidence, less isolated people, and a heightened awareness of mental health issues. Thank you once again:)

We had a wonderful visit to Scottish Ethnic Minority Deaf Charity in Glasgow today. Thank you to Nafiesa, Alison, Carol & members for taking time to have a chat with us today & telling us more about the valuable services of @SEMDC1.

Fantastic to meet with @SEMDC1 recently to hear about their work throughout Glasgow.

A review of the the last few months activities at our Men's Group @GlasgowCVS funded programme. We ventured into new territories, learning archery, racing cars and set up a football team. Our final workshop 'Domestic Abuse Awareness' - was hugely impactful for all the men!

We will explore the impact of domestic violence on children in deaf families as co-victims & language brokers. We will be working with @luccl81 & Tasnim Ahmed from @SEMDC1 & partnering with @ddeaflinks & @PoliceScotland on this 1-yr project starting Jan 2025
