It’s disheartening to see so many good people and organisations leaving this platform, but it’s time to follow suit, as this place has become a toxic cesspit and has a preference for the far right, bigots, racists, fascists and those who love discriminating against anyone who isn’t white and healthy. The environment is no longer conducive to constructive dialogue, and the leadership under Musk has only exacerbated the issues. Staying on here feels like supporting him and that’s the last thing I want. If he loses it (Freudian slip) I may come back. Thank you to everyone for your support and engagement. I’m moving on to protect my MH and find a more positive space where meaningful conversations can thrive. I am grateful for the continued support from central Government & local partners in the city. We were able to get crews out today & will continue to do all we can to clear the rubbish. I thank residents for their patience and staff for working hard to continue the service.

You must be walking around with your eyes closed then?! Here’s some footage from my back garden and it’s not even that late! My disabled son is usually in the garden till late in the summer and we’re also out there. Can’t even leave our doors open now! We’ve also found a huge rat IN OUR BIN! Big enough to set our flood lights off!

I don’t care how they resolve it. I just want it resolved! They’ve turned my beautiful city into a rat infested hellhole and made us the laughing stock of the world. I want Birmingham on the world map for positive reasons. They are undermining hard working Brummies. Having us pay higher council tax for poorer services. It’s criminal.

The communication is dire. I raised this issue with them over and over again but it fell on deaf ears. They are incredibly poor at communicating with each other and the residents. There is very little openness and transparency and them hiding away in their ivory tower doesn’t help. When they don’t share information, people make things up and the rumour mill runs rampant. Easy way to resolve this is for them to be more open, transparent and accessible and share what they’re doing day to day. Instead they have more secret meetings, more closed meetings and insist on keeping reports and reviews out the public domain. We saw this with the sendiass report and the more recent CDC report into short breaks. Even those of us who shared our valuable experience and contributed to these reports weren’t allowed to see them. It was all brushed under the carpet.

@SENDPAG @BhamCityCouncil Definitely too many crooks and Robert Connelly has protected them. Max knows it and so does @joanneroney but they are not doing anything about it. They seem to need this Connelly to run around for them and do their dirty work.

It will take more than one person to fix this mess. The entire culture is toxic and needs detoxing. I’ve seen some great people come and go over the years. They all cite a toxic work environment and corruption and we know what happens to whistleblowers. There’s a culture of silence. Everyone who comes here either gets moulded into the shitshow, scapegoated or leaves of their own volition. We need a public inquiry. It will expose everything and everyone. Then we start again with people with integrity and a high level of governance, monitoring and accountability. I also think the city should be divided into smaller areas. Anyone who thinks the size of the place and the sheer numbers isn’t a contributing factor, is deluded. We are a city of 1.1 million people! I’m aware this isn’t a popular option with some people but the current arrangements clearly aren’t working. We need radical change.

I know the new Finance Director worked with her in Manchester. Let’s see if the Monitoring Officer worked with her in the past. The problem for @joanneroney is that @BrumLabour are corrupt and inept with the selections of their Cllr’s and she will be out just like I warned Cadman. It’s easier to remove officers than elected Members. If she and others were genuine about improvements, the first person to be removed would be the corrupt Robert Connelly. Connelly is protecting Cllr’s in @BrumLabour who should be in prison and or not fit for public office.

Anyone know what they’re doing or what improvements they’ve made? More gravy train passengers and more added to the echo chambers aka secret meetings where they eat, drink, laugh and celebrate improvements none of us can see or feel. Different faces. Same 💩 I’ve seen this cycle repeated for over three decades and I told Cadman the day she landed here. Wasn’t wrong was I? The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. This is so true of Birmingham that they should use it as their slogan. It goes well with their favourite word…reset! Perpetual cycle of failure resetting the same 💩 over and over again. Then wondering why there’s zero improvement and things are actually going from bad to worse 😵‍💫
